Channel 4 is turning 40 this year in Autumn this could be a throwback.

They got the legendary Mikey Dread to read out the bit on Dennis Brown.

'Ageless' being the key word here, as Upstairs Downstairs is currently being broadcast on Talking Pictures TV - and like the C4 broadcasts, the original London Weekend idents are not shown at the beginning

David Stranks in the announcer’s booth at Charlotte Street, and Keith Harrison voicing the “Friday” trail. I remember those 3D glasses, free with the TV Times, which coincided with a special edition of TVS’s The Real World about 3D broadcasting, and the 3D film. I believe 3D broadcasts had been shown some six months earlier in the TVS region only. Nice to hear FourScore Two and see the breakfiller slide (one of the first captions used when Four introduced them a few days before this recording. Previously they used only one breakfiller caption showing parts of the coloured blocks from their symbol on a black background).
