Here's an idea: Do a video with a "bug out" focus about living off-grid for 72 hours, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and perhaps 6 months. Where would you stay? How would you get power? What about food/water? I think that would be awesome!

I have a great idea...lets try to triple becasue I'm sure she will need to replace belongings as well and mobile homes are not cheap anymore. Let's show everyone what a great community we are! Thank you for helping Richard's mom. This is one of the benefits of our community. Can I make a suggestion as a self-employed person? It's so hard to really take a day off so I have found it makes the rare day off much more relaxing if I get up and tell myself - "Today you are taking a day off" (instead of deciding to do that half way through the day.)

As A long-time subscriber of yours, (and owning a 25' Class C), although I've done a cross-country three month trip from Cali to Georgia, I never got down into LA, despite it being on my list of "someday" adventures. A couple months ago, the LA rainy trip showed up in my YT suggestions. It was a stormy Georgian night, so my dogs and I hunkered down with our suppers in front of the TV to vicariously take the adventure with you - even trying to decide which of the campsites I'd try to pick for my little pack. I also had to laugh at your torrential rains, wind, and lightening show that was just what I had going outside my windows here in Georgia at the same hour. Paused it long enough to bring in some dessert, and proceeded to enjoy till the end. You gave such a fun presentation I felt I'd been right there with you! A few nights later I found a secondary LA post - the one with all the beautiful oaks with their Spanish Moss and the abandoned properties. Both shows were a wonderful relaxing way to end my evenings! I'd love for you to try your hand at showing us the ins-and-outs of New Orleans. For your safety and more fun, going with other RVrs so you can hit both touristy places, but also historical places, and explore the local food offerings, along with safer camping spots - just as you did for us from your Baja trip!

#VideoSuggestion Hi Carolyn. How about a video on food? Maybe you walking us through one of your meals? Or you talking about your favorite food items you purchase and why you like them so much. Or maybe you could talk about breakfast, lunch, or dinner ideas. Or nutritious options on the go, that are quick and easily available. Or a talk about your favorite protein sources. I could go on but I think you get the point. :) I realize that food videos are not your favorite but I for one really enjoy it when you do share your wisdom in this area with us! 🥰

As someone STILL attempting to find general contractors to take on my home's damage from hurricane Ian, my heart goes out to Richard's mom (and Richard). I know the frantic and helpless feeling from seeing the water rushing in all around you. I know the aftermath may feel overwhelming, but hang in there and try to keep your spirit high. You and Sadie have given me more ideas on how I can travel with a fur baby, as I will get my 1st little baby in about a month, and knowing what I will need to keep with me for him, and how to keep him safe!! One of my biggest questions is around food sustainability: How do you feel about attempting a garden in an RV? I’ve been designing different ways I could customize some kind of mobile set up for herbs and even larger vegetables but I’ve never even been inside an RV before haha. I want to be as self sufficient as possible and I also depend heavily on my herbal knowledge and herbal remedies to care for myself. Do you or have you tried growing your own produce? Is it even possible? And how do you feel about using kitchen composting bins? Would it cause odor or frustration in a smaller space? Btw I just found your channel maybe two weeks ago and I’m steadily getting to the end of all your videos 😂 I’ve had a passion for homesteading and bushcraft all my life and this looks like the perfect way for me to integrate those passions into my life. Thank you for introducing an alternative way of living to me. I feel like I was built for this lifestyle and I don’t think I’ve ever felt that kind of a sense of purpose before. I’m already taking steps to start a savings so I can also become a full time RVer. You’re amazing and your knowledge and experience is such a gift to people like me. Take all the time you need for your self-care. For those who understand the way of life you’re trying to achieve, we will always be here. 🤗 ❤

I sincerely wish Richard and his mom the best is recovery of her home, try a city/state/federal help that might be all you need not gofundme, and yes those departments have that resource.

You need to take care of you first and foremost. And secondly your home. You drive that RV all over, and it is your home. You need to, secondly, take care of your home. Visit with your family is super important as well. Enjoy your time. I do love the longer videos you had in Baja. 20 minutes just pisses me off. LOL I just get interested, and then the video is over. I really enjoy the longer videos that include so much of the outdoors, even the videos of how the roads are in areas to give people a real "picture" of what to expect. That is my opinion anyways. I love little towns, and I really like your style of travel staying off the interstates and experiencing some pleasures of little towns and secondary roads. Of course, the waterfalls are a major plus :) Take care of yourself Carolyn.

You definately need a break. It's been go, go, go. It is a good idea to take time to attened to your RV too. One can burn out completely keeping up this pace. Everyone needs a break. We want you and Sadie to be happy, healthy and well rested. I wish you and Sadie everything of the best. Everyone who works must take a vacation to recharge and have personal time. Self love and self care comes first. It is awful to hear about Richard's mom.😢 My prayers went up for them. My partners life is hanging in the balance in ICU and it makes me realise that our loved ones and our lives can be fragile. We need to reprioritise what is most important, and that is love for our loved ones, time with them, and personal self care during trying times. It is so important for you to rejuvinate, and do everything you need to do privately without stress. Not everything needs to be on RU-vid. Sending you and Sadie lot's of love from Germany. 🤗💞🦮
