In this video, I go over some new equipment and touch on upcoming videos as well as try to revisit some older content that didn't get completed.
I also talk about my new playlist "In a nutshell" which is basically just shortened versions of my longer tutorials. A couple of these have already gone live, but they will continue to evolve into hopefully better (and shorter) content.
Look for videos on the SonicWall TZ series as well as the Unifi Dream Machine Pro (finally...) in the future.

This is great timing! I started following you after purchasing the USG three years ago. This year I am going to purchase a DM Pro to upgrade the USG and a buy three UNIFI cameras for my house. Look forward to seeing your upcoming content Toasty 👌🏻

Good news, OSPF is coming to UniFi Cloud controllers!

OSPF is in early access on UniFi currently. Comes with caveats though. Still wish there was a way to do VRRP….hence I still have and use edgerouter x

Perfect timing. I have two locations and started with edge routers. When my ER lite in the secondary location died in December I picked up Unifi Express instead of upgrading to an ER-4. The primary location has FIOS, ER-4, USW-24. Want to get off the (windows) self hosted controller and was pricing the dream machine last night! So I look forward to your updates, including the migration and also possibly keeping the ER-4! BTW, my first router in the home location booted linux on 5 1/4" floppy , headless diskless 486 PC so I could run more than one PC on Bell Atlantic ADSL.

Congrats on your new equipment. I recently sold off my UDM-Pro because the firewall was lacking to much for what I wanted. I went ahead and matched my enterprise deployments and put a PaloAlto PA440 at my house. I still have a UDM-Pro at one of my clients and have kicked around the idea of putting another firewall there but the client does not want to lose the UniFi set up. I've seen a few different ways of putting the UDM behind a firewall but I lose interest in it fast when it comes to putting it into production and being stable. Hopefully you can make a video on a stable way to do so!

This is kind of foreshadowing... but I can understand most of that. I've been messing with mine and getting ready for upcoming videos and have already found quite a few shortcomings I wasn't prepared for. Lets just say my excitement has waned a bit since actually using it in production.

Shorts…. As long as you don’t rush the presentation. The tempo and intonation of this intro are great, so why not use it as a benchmark. No going to the races please.

I use an UDMSE with a total Ubiquiti network with 4 APs, 6 switches,2 stacked UNVR with 64GB storage for my 16 protect cams, 3 10Gbps switches and rack of servers and two punch down cabs where I run fiber to my central network with enterprise switches to give each room 2.5Gbos RJ45 ports. And my backbone is a aggravated 20Gbps fiber for long rings and DAC SFP+ near devices. all devices go down the back of my network to 5Gbps fiber to the home internet.
