You guys have been my go-to for deckbuilding and general tips for the past 2 years since I discovered the channel. I have learnt (and I keep learning) a lot from the two of you and I always loved the dynamic between you guys, two dudes who clearly are good friends and enjoy Magic together. This feels so eerie, I started watching this channel when my friends got me into magic. We'd all gather at our one buddies place who ended up getting all of us into magic, the other day we had our last session together as he was moving for work to a different country! And while the sunset on that, it made me remember the beginning of all this magic stuff i'm into and you two were a huge part of it. Much like my friend however, every door closing is a new door opening. Wish you the best cherries, darkest before the dawn and all that.

While I can see the creative differences, I mean you guys disagree a lot and end up contradicting each other a lot, I actually really liked that about the channel. It was really nice having the dichotomy of two very different players expressing their opinions, it made it feel like a more genuine source of information since I got to hear two different players’ opinions, rather than one person’s echo chamber. Maybe that’s not what you’re referring to with creative differences but nevertheless I feel like having two very different hosts is what made the channel special. Honestly I hope after some time apart (creatively) you guys will end up back together at some point but that’s up to you two to decide. Man, I keep coming back to this over and over, wishing it wasn't true or watching in hope of hearing something different. Since I began playing commander, The Nerds have been my content home-base. Even my husband, who usually at best has half-hearted disdain for MTG, knows who Joe and Beezy are; he appreciates them for bringing me happiness and appreciates Joe for living boldly and proudly in truth. This is really the end of an era that I didn't even realize we were in. This marks the end of a chapter in Magic as a whole, I'd argue. I support Beezy and what will become of the Nerds in the time to come, but it's safe to say that we'll look back at those Joe and Beezy vids with the same nostalgic ennui that people get from hearing the mournful harmonies in old Simon and Garfunkel records. Every single day for about 4 years now, I have invited you two into my life, be it for a minute or for a whole lunch break, you guys have been in my ear each day without fail. That implies a level of regard and trust that I want to tell you two explicitly that you have earned, Nerds. I wanna congratulate you both Joe and Beezy for what you've accomplished and what you've built, as well as raise a glass to Joe in his future endeavors. Joe, the commander-sphere needs your voice and perspective now more than ever. Take excellent care of yourself, rest up, though please, please, don't leave this space. Joe and Beezy, to me at least, ARE Magic RU-vid.
