Hey Christian, yeah your right, just start making what ever comes to mind, not everything needs to be a masterpiece. Don’t stress about making it prefect, because people will still watch it either way. Even if you think it’s a perfect video, it won’t interest a few people. And even if you think it’s bad, people will still enjoy and watch it. The worst that can happen is a person will click off.

I think your niche (to me at least) has always been your personality you're very relatable and down to earth and I think as long as you keep that about yourself you'll do great!
Definitely just start creating and experimenting, I also had an urge to do something creatively on social media, I think I made like 3 different fashion tiktoks in like 2 months and eventually on my third one, my first new video on it blew up with like 60k views and I just took it as a sign to keep going. In 3 months I've accumulated 40 K followers on it and now I'm starting up my RU-vid channel and I couldn't be happier with it all! I'd say monetarily, RU-vid with Patreon is the best way to do it, but if your goal is solely to fulfil a void to create content, tiktok is better, just because it takes much less commitment and you can always start doing sponsorships if that's your thing. I've always enjoyed your videos and personality, definitely took inspiration from your channel when I started making content, I'd love to see you making stuff again, there really isn't enough men's fashion content creators out there.
For what it's worth, the "put things into motion and inspiration will follow" approach to regiment a creative outlet has seemed to work in my experience. Long term habit formation beats only acting on impulsive creativity: it's like building a well instead of depending on rain for water. I also know how much metrics mean, but making the best content you can instead of fixating on a specific outcome definitely helps to remain consistent in forming that habit I've liked your content since I discovered your channel because you come across as a very genuine person. I definitely hope things smooth out and wish you the best, and I look forward to what you end up making

I schedule in a certain amount of time most days to work on it, tied to an existing part of my routine that has a positive connotation (for example, 1-2 hours of practice and research before/after dinner) Also I know it sounds cliche, but I've found meditation to help very much when I can fit it in. Things like tratica and breathing focus are like doing push-ups for your brain to reel in wandering thoughts and general impulsivity Hopefully any of the above is helpful, good luck!

Making videos of fashion and clothing on RU-vid is pretty difficult and many fashion RU-vidrs find themselves in your footsteps or at least facing the same struggle as you, the idea of creating a formulaic video is brilliant and I find inspiration in the RU-vidrs who talk about clothing but don’t show it for reasons XY&Z and I think the next step in fashion content in this platform is headed more in a critique form of content rather than a show and tell one and I’m interested in seeing what’s to come also commented for the algorithm lol
for me your stuff has always been about information and leading people to make their own decisions . in that way, I've always thought that the best format for you would be closer to a popular cooking channel like Joshua Weissman's, Adam Ragusea's or Ethan Chlebowski's

Whatever videos you make, we'll watch them. Your taste in clothing and your personality will carry the channel. Don't worry too much about having a theme or very strong topic for every video. Casual pick up videos, putting together outfits, commentary on other's fits, and commentary on new collections would all make for great content.

Outside perspective: I watch your content because you uniquely bring a funny, witty perspective, even to the most ordinary things. To me that is your key strength. The tricky part, as I think you've observed before - is that you're operating in the niche of men's fashion content. I think this is always going to be challenging to progress and monetize. Of course anything is possible though. I'm sure you'll be able to find engaging topics that touches the mainstream, with your observations. There are exceptions of course - Drew & Keezy have risen, but they seem to dance on the line of streetwear, pickups and obvs some more longer form lifestyle content. Both dumping full time hours into that though and I don't really feel that's your angle. I think you would bounce off brilliantly with another podcast host (video format)- fashion and culture commentary, if you were ever to do something like that. Again, challenging to monetize though. That's all. Sorry, I don't have more direct advice. Keep creating if it makes you feel inspired!

You're totally right about just throwing something out there consistently rather than waiting for inspiration to strike. It's true of any art form, you're best off practicing and getting your technical proficiency better so that when there's something you want to say through your craft, it comes out naturally. Also it goes without saying that I really love what you have been doing with this channel and it stands out from any other fashion channel on RU-vid. To me it comes off as equal parts funny, intellectual, irreverent, and exploratory.
Whatever the future of this channel may be, I think the approach you've outlined in this video is the correct one. The majority of big channels out there got big because they became know as "the guy who does ____". There are channels with hundreds of thousands of subscribers making videos about weird internet lore, video game speedrunning, outsider art, whatever. In their early days, all of these channels identified a certain type of video that no one else was making, or at least not making well, and started making those videos. I really hope you find that niche, whatever it is. I'm sure you're well aware of this (you actually upload content after all) but don't expect to get the formula down right away. It'll definitely take some experimenting before you figure out what it is what people want to see.
