The treasure of the channel is the lady behind it. I'd rather wait 5 or 10 years for you to be in good health than have you unwell focusing on video content. I've waited that long before for other youtubers. Take as much time as you need. I'll be here waiting patiently when you return.
You were the first channel I came across when I wanted to dehydrate and the one I keep coming back to. Thank you for all you do. Prayers for a good surgery and healing time after.
Darcy, when you ended this video with "She preserves", Immediately my mind changed it to "She perseveres" Thank you for your openness and your willingness to share your journey with others. May God heal you completely. Prayers coming your way. YOU GOT THIS!
You are a great teacher. At 73 you got me interested in something new.. And now with you tell us about your health makes me glad I found your channel years ago. You are an inspiration to many.❤ take care and be well
I had a hysterectomy in my 50's and a hernia repair on the same day. It was a cake walk. Don't be nervous. They make 3 or 4 small holes in your belly and do it with robotics. Less cutting and way less pain. You're just sore.
Years ago when I had my hysterectomy they didn't take my ovaries now I have ovarian cancer. Something to think about. Thinking and praying for you in your journey.
I had a complete hysterectomy in 2008, when I was 48 due to some difficult health issues. It was by far, the best decision I ever made. Once you recover, you will see. My prayers are for a successful surgery and a fast recovery. God bless you
I had a total hysterectomy in my 30 ‘s. You will be ok. The only thing I can advise you is to have your doctor monitor your hormones. That is the part that I struggled with. And your right give yourself time. I felt so much better after my recovery. Mine was done by C-section due to the enlargement of the tumors in my uterus. I will be praying for you. And watch your weight. Because no one told me about that. But I did get a handle on it early.
I had a hysterectomy when I was 40 due to undiagnosed endometriosis. I would agree with other poster.. Dont automatically start taking estrogen have doc monitor your hormones. ❤
Good luck with your surgery. I had a hysterectomy in 2015 and had to take 7 weeks off from work. I watched every Hallmark Christmas movie on tv at that time. Rest rest rest. I actually could've taken more time off but I couldn't afford to. So take as much time off as you need.
I had to have a complete hysterectomy at the age of 29. I had so many "small" surgeries trying to take out what was "bad" i was frankly too tired to fight anymore and welcomed the complete removal. Yes, my ability to have children was gone. However, it opened the doors to adopt 2 beautiful baby girls from China. God closes one door but, if we allow, He will always open another. Hang in there. Your story is starting a new chapter
YOU are WHO got me hooked on dehydrating, So praying for ur health! I had a complete hysterectomy, I was down only 4 hours, laproscopy surgery is amazing!
My friend just had a complete hysterectomy recently. It was sad because she is still at an age she can have kids. She was able to go home to her kids the same day and felt great shortly after. She said laproscopic surgery is amazing, too!
Prayers for a speedy recovery!💕🙏 Take all the time your need, and don't try to rush back into things too quickly. We'll all still be here when you get back on your feet
You brought me to tears. I've learned so much from you over the few years I've watched your channel. I'm close to your age, maybe a little older, so I applaud your courage and willingness to talk about this. We need discussion, especially those who don't have close family to talk to and I'm glad you're taking time off. Get healed and then think about other things. Sending good vibes your way. You've got this!
You are a wonderful person! Yes it is important to share what is going on as it may make a difference in someone’s life. Please know how much we appreciate you and will pray for a speedy recovery.
You just take care of yourself. You have taken care of us for five years. I’ve learned so much from you. You are my dehydrating guru. I God bless you and I will pray for you and your healing journey. We will be here when you’re ready.
I had a hysterectomy when i was 36 and i am almost 63 now. Best thing that ever happened to me. I felt so much better afterwards plus i rarely have a migraine anymore. You will be in my prayers.
Congratulations on 5 years strong! Take as much time as you need to heal your body- we will all be here when you're ready to get going again. Prayers for you and your family.
Thank you for everything you do! You need to take care of yourself! Don't worry about anything but you and yours! You're very much appreciated and you'll be missed. Please disconnect from EVERYTHING!
God bless you Darcie! Wishing you a speedy recovery and take your time to heal. I started with one dehydrator and now I have a bigger one. I use them both. My neighbor is now dehydrating and my son is as well. So thank you for teaching me how to preserve in another way ❤❤❤❤!
Darcy, please take all the time you need to heal, physically and emotionally, from your surgery. Having had several GYN surgeries decades ago, including a complete hysterectomy, i know how challenging it can be. You are in my prayers.🙏
Sweet Darcy, my heart goes out to you & praying all goes well for your surgery & you have a "good vacation"/good recovery. Last yr you were the first hydrating channel that I saw, then I got a dehydrator & started dehydrating for the first time & loved it. You are loved! ❤
Thank you for the update and most importantly thank you for starting another channel to share with women who are are needing more information on their own journeys. Prayers as you walk this new path.
Sister in Christ, I have been in your shoes. Please take ALL THE TIME to heal and be with your family. A complete hysterectomy is a major event. PRAYERS for your full healing...
You are more important right now than being present for us. You take care of you and concentrate on healing. Most questions that people have on dehydrating can be answered by reviewing previous videos that you have posted or by your Facebook group. We will miss you and look forward to seeing a healthy you later this summer. Prayers🙏
Life happens. Do what you need to do. We appreciate the wisdom and knowledge you share as well as your common sense and delightful sense of humor. We you are recuperating, We can all go revisit past videos for our daily dose of Darcy!😊❤
While I haven't been following the channel for five years, I have been following you, my precious friend for like 25 years. I love you so much and am so incredibly proud of you. Please know that I will be in prayer for you every step of the way. Off to subscribe to your other channel now! 💞💞💞💞
Hello, lovely lady! :D Congratulations, on five years! Blessings for many, many, more years to come! :D Take your time and heal well. We will miss you, but we want you back, so we need you healthy. :D God bless you and your wonderful family. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
I’m fairly new to dehydrating (except for herbs and jerky) and to your channel. You’ve been my go-to for all questions. Please take good care of yourself. We’ll miss you and anxiously await your return. My prayers are with you, Darcy!
Had. One 6 yrs ago. They had to super glue me together, I'm allergic to metal. You'll feel much better after your healed. You're the best. Have no fears, God is with you and so are our prayers. ❤
❤️🦋🌺🙏Quick healing! I had lung cancer surgery 3 weeks ago and all the appointment, scans, tests, radiology and pathology reports were brutal. I’m going to be fine too but the process was very hard!
Please take all the time you need! You've done so much already for us. You've equipped us not just to preserve, but you've helped us keep our families well cared for and safe doing it. You've given us ways to remember and reach out to family, friends, and neighbors. So yes, take care of you for not only yours but for also all of us. Saying Thanks! De
Never ever google your symptoms; it never ends well. Our best source of information, support, and compassion is each other. Glad to see you are still persevering. :)
Thinking about you on your healing journey. Yes! Be purposeful ! I love that about you. I'm going to the shop now. Take your break for as long as you can or need to, and know that we will continue returning and wish you well.
Oh, and because of you, I got a dehydrator and my husband has started growing a garden. I've dehydrated a ton of stuff now. You taught me this. You taught me I can do it. Because of you, I'm far more prepared.
aye, I've been there. Mine was prophylactic, to prevent cancer from spreading. I was 48. I was discharged the day after surgery. The first 3 to 4 days were the worst, pain wise, but from previous abdominal surgeries, I knew that the sooner I got up and shuffled about, regularly, the quicker I would heal. Before surgery, I made up multiple meals and froze them, so I didn't have to cook (my kids went to stay with their dad for the duration of my recoveries so I did this solo) I changed my sheets, cleaned and mopped floors, cleaned the toilet etc etc so I would return to a clean house. You DO NOT do any lifting or vacuuming or sweeping or laundry post op. You are risking injuring yourself and causing post op trauma to unhealed wounds. I cannot emphasis this enough. You may feel you want to put a light hearted movie on to cheer you up, think carefully. Any movie that will make you belly laugh will hurt you physically. I learned that one the hard way. Anyway, I wish you all the best with your surgery, listen to your physio, and stay mobile afterwards. See you on the other side. :)
@@ThePurposefulPantry Sadly, many partnered people go through such things alone too. I'd rather do it solo than be with a husband who only adds to the burden.
Darcy, our thoughts and prayers are with you...I am so glad you are taking care of your health. I'm sure all of your followers feel the same way and we will be here when you get back!
I was thinking I can spend a long time just catching up with everyone else who has been here all those years supporting you. Wishing you quick healing. Hugs
You will be fine. Just know, you may feel great in about two weeks. Be aware, don’t overdo. I can tell you that at 50, at beginning of my second week after surgery , I was out walking a half mile. By the end of the week I was waking a mile and a half. Bad choice, week three, I was back down. Take time to let your body heal. Don’t push it. Sending prayers and hugs your way.
As long as you're through having children, you'll never miss it! I didn't go that route with the issue I had several years ago, but I had an endometrial ablation. Best thing I've ever done! God bless your healing and you will be in my prayers.
Take the time to heal. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your healing time. Love your channel and will wait until you are back and posting again when you are ready. Don't rush. I like to watch older posts.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, Darcy. You are such a blessing! I recently got a dehydrator and an electric canner. They have so changed and improved my life! God bless you and your family. Rest well and heal up. That is most important.❤️🤗
Please take time off. Relax, heal. Do not think about it. Don't think about the channel think about the important people in your life. My mom had the procedure years ago and she's doing just fine. Take time for yourself and really really try to relax and quiet your brain. Good luck. I'm sure you will be fine.
Darcy, you need to know we are here because we enjoy watching you and learning from you. However, you NEED to take care of yourself first and foremost. You have to know we will all still be here when you are healed and feeling 100 percent again. Please don't worry about that. Your channel is not going anywhere. Take all the time you need. May God Bless you and your family! You GOT this!!!! 💗💗💗
Darcy, please take all the time you need to recover, no matter how long it is. You have plenty of videos we can watch should we run out of new ones. Take care.
You are in my prayers. i have been where you are - take your time to heal, but barring complications, you will find you want to get back in the grove sooner.
I know you will be fine. It takes time to feel right again. I had that surgery at 39. Physically, I bounced back faster than my hormones and emotions did, but it felt overwhelming. So... You are NOT alone.
Darcy you are not alone as you have your followers that have grown to love and appreciate YOU! Please continue only when you can and heal body, mind and spirit. Much respect and many well wishes for you.
Darcy, you got this!!!! I had three surgeries during the height of the pandemic, one being a hysterectomy, for preventative reasons. I am in my mid 60's. Please, take care of YOUUUUUUUUUU....all the rest will wait... it always does!!! Hugs.... wishing you the best, speedy recovery, and a "vacation" from the everyday hustle and bustle.
Thanks so much!!! I truly am quite thankful that this is on the other side of that -- but I still have to take a covid test during my pre-op testing this week!
Wishing you all the best with your surgery. I am 2 weeks post laproscopic partial hysterectomy (in Australia that means Uterus and fallopian tubes). I had a massive fibroid and it nearly became an open surgery. There are many helpful videos on RU-vid about recovery, but make sure you get stool softeners and take them daily, you'll thank me later ;). God bless and hope your recovery goes well. I'm very tired but pain has been reasonable for me. xx
