If you haven't before, I'd like you to discuss with artists the issue of ai "art" infiltrating the visual side of heavy metal, how it has been affecting them, what can be done about it, the future of art in metal with ai's existence etc. I have already seen it being used in several music videos (mostly visualizers/lyric videos) and a couple of times on album covers. As somewhat an artist myself, I'd like to hear professionals' takes on the problem Thank you for delivering material about art in metal, and have a great day!
Thanks for commenting! This was on my list of video essay topics for the near future, but I think I’ll get to it sooner than later. With bands like Meshuggah and Cradle of Filth using AI generated art recently it definitely seems threatening, but the desire for handmade, original art is also at all time highs, so it’s certainly a deep and often perplexing topic!🫡
