Hi Tim, came across an early Lp by Nana Mouskouri in New York superb, recorded in 1962 on the Fontana Label, its more jazz than her later 70's recordings
Hey Tim- I am very much enjoying your videos and channel. Keep 'em coming! Here's a suggestion for a video- As you know, the "audiophile" market is red hot- Analogue Productions, Mo-Fi, Speaker's Corner, Craft are all mastering, pressing and selling the classic LPs as fast as they can. Better Records/White Hot Stampers is finding and selling those "one in a million" original pressings that supposedly have way above normal sound quality for many hundreds of dollars each. I saw a copy of Simon & Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water for $750.! My question is this: Is the red hot audiophile market also starting to raise prices and demand for the original pressing LPs that are being re mastered in audiophile markets as well? I'm talking about NM, or close to it original release pressings, not VG+ or lesser copies, but top-notch condition original LPs? Thoughts? Thanks!!
About cut corners:Unsold stock is either cut corners or punctured by the distributors so it cannot be sold as new, then sold as clearance to small independent record stores. There's a video about this topic on RU-vid. Sorry but I can't find it. Cheers
Another great review will definitely check out the Netflix Mussel Sholes and Duet was awesome the other night watched it with my wife. Have 4 packs of outer sleeves coming from vinyl storage solutions out of the Mofi inners again sold out. RSD next Saturday any thoughts? Thank You
Glad to hear of your channel growth in such a short time. Things move much slower for those of us in the heavy metal world :) Some great, classic stuff you have there.
I think you over paid on the Aretha album, I bought those late sixties albums a while back here in the New York metro area where records are much more money. I got them all including Lady Soul all for around $10 to 15.
