Summary: There was a shootout between two vehicles outside of the stadium that people heard inside the stadium and took cover. At no time was there any shots fired inside the stadium.
@@robertcorbett9455 exactly the uploader should have made a description because im so confused reading the comments. One perosn said, "praying for all the families this is so sad" and i though like 20 people died or something.
My uncle was there behind the Nationals dugout. He was very confused on what was happening. But he saw everyone else hiding under their chairs since they couldn’t leave. So he hid under his chair, then the players started waving them to come into the dugout. He went, and was in there. Then Dave Martinez was telling people to go through the door that led to the clubhouse. He went, and Josh Bell and others had their hands full with gatorade and water to give to the group of people down there. Overall an extremely scary event that should’ve never happened in the first place.
Manny Machado, Fernando Tatis JR, and Wil Meyers are legit legends. They were running and grabbing kids and taking them into the Padre dugout, by the flock.
Update: 3 people were shot outside of the stadium. The condition of each of the victims is unknown, nor is the location of the shooter. Please like this so people can stay informed.
Hope everyone is ok and was able to leave safely, honestly when i heard the recording of the gunshot sounds i probably wouldn’t have noticed and stayed seated and be confused to what’s going on, also when they asked people to leave through the CF & RF the exits only i would’ve opted to stay till situation was under control or clear
And remember people, this happened in a city with some of the strictest gun laws we have in the US. Criminals don't give a F about laws, and the places with the strictest laws have the most gun crime. (Chicago, DC, California, etc)

Scary part is that there's nothing to do but duck and cover. You're in a huge building completely exposed, crowds are blocking the exits, and nobody knows where the bullets are coming from. You could run but you might be running right into the shooter. Really makes you think about how vulnerable you are in these types of situations.
@@2147B that's because there aren't any cities, not because of the gun laws. The violent crime and gun crime rate in NH isn't any lower than similar places in New England with much stricter gun laws.
It stinks because you know families and kids are there enjoying a good game of baseball when one of the most scariest situations possible happens and it is hard to cover yourself. I pray no one got hurt and I am thankful I wasn’t there.

That cop has probably seen so much death in his life and this single event seeing all the terror on the faces of thousands women and children is the one that will probably haunt him forever. His face said it all. This is unprecedented.
Not one hundred percent sure if this is a gun shot but if you listen very closely at 1:09 you can here some loud bang or noise in the background of the broadcast.
shooting was outside of the stadium and people leaving running toward the shooter.. you see security/police working the game chill af not even running toward the gun fire you know youre good to just stay put.
As someone who was there in the 3rd base row nobody knew at the time if it was inside or out until later so it was understandable why people were wanting to exit
@@johnnygoodguy4348 yeah I get that and security was not helpful whatsoever but then again it’s not their fault. They had to wait on DC police to inform them on what happened outside and by that time panic had already set in to the fans and it was outta their hand by that point
Scary situation. But if u think about it. If the shooters wanted to do harm to the fans in attendance the shot would of taken place in the stadium. Not outside of it. Dont worry ur politicians that u voted for are safe and that's all they care about.
IF I remember correctly there were shots fired in the vicinity to the stadium. can confirm online but my radio showed some strange report in that area, it could had been a major backfire as well who knows.
Yea, DC has some of the highest crime rate in the country! Something needs to be done about it. I mean there are Gun control laws but criminals dont care
Something is fishy about this. I have been to numerous games in Baltimore at the old and new stadiums and never heard so much as a horn honking. When I was seated. Now somebody out on the concourse could have heard something and word spread but it just seems odd.
@@flapjacks7370 hold on tho, basic instincts would tell me it wouldn’t be inside if there’s police/security in and around the stadium as well as medal detectors at the front gates. Anyone with a working brain would know it’s not in the stadium. It’d make no sense if the shooter was inside (specifically near the concession stands) and the police/security is telling them to leave the seats, basically going closer to the danger, that would make no sense.
“Packed house” my ass, was just there for a game. They should be embarrassed to be an MLB team, never seen a stadium more empty. Good park though with insanely cheap tickets to try and unsuccessfully “pack” the house.
