this was way worse than a terrorist attack. it was a spectacle of police officials dressed as military demonstrating to the audience how fun they are while pointing guns at the audience, or a really dumb military commander who thought doing this on home turf is a terrific idea.
Wife and I were at that Ranger’s game when that thunder slammed. Kids were crying, people were screaming and running. I’ve never been next to bomb explosion before, but for a few seconds we all thought we had.
@@Bane-kr6pb it was a thunder crack but with zero warning, clear skies and all. And had to have been right above the stadium because it reverberated off the stands and was just insanely loud and instant.
@Truth Forever2020 so here’s this guy. Lol you had to have done some SCOURING to find a comment on this video that made you think that you should inject some race hate into it. Whew potna, I hope you’re still young and can turn your life around.
that thunder one always amazes me. the strike of lightning was so strong it physically disrupted a tv broadcast.... the sheer energy that takes is insane
@@dhays07 I figured some people thought it was a terrorist act. But I haven't seen it before where no one looked around for assurance or acknowledgement. That pitcher knew instantly "its time to go".
Same exact thing happened in the summer of '95 when I turned 12 and playing in the regional championship game in a Little League tournament against Tom's River NJ. We lost that game, and they went on to win the LLWS that year. Lol. But yeah, in the middle of that game, we were leading 3-2. A.totally rogue lightning bolt blew a chimney off a house across the street. And. HOLY. SHIT! We.all.thought it was an explosion. (Well, every lightning strike.technically IS an explosion.) But being that close to one. Especially on a clear sunny day. Ill never forget that. Everyone on the field fell to the ground, and a couple people fell off the bleachers. Everyone went scattering in random ass directions. Parents left their kids haha. Never experienced anything like it before or since. We went on to lose against the LLWS champs later thay game. Haha.
2nd clip: happy cat biting someone and everyone laughs. 3rd clip: as the desert storm troops swarm in to kill any trespassers and take and protect the package/baseball
@@Fee.1 it distracts the batter and gives the pitcher an advantage, that’s why there are no fans, seats, or lights in Dead Center field. It has to be black so they have no distractions
The fact that the Seattle Mariners appear so many times in this video amazes me, especially the fact that an 'unexpected delay' occurred on two separate Mariners v Angels games!
I know it probably doesn't count because the game hadn't started yet, but the earthquake that occurred in San Francisco right before Game 3 of the World Series was crazy.
The navy seals at the reds game I remember being at that game when I was little thinking what the heck is going on when they came on the field from the grass area in centerfield
Human instinct at that point, you PRAY they know enough trigger discipline to not accidently set off their weapon in a blind panic. NOTHING scares a person worse than natures wrath. For even the strongest military on earth is but an ANT by comparison
I was at that first Rangers game. The lightning was loud as fuck, and literally right above the field. It scared the shit out of EVERYONE in the stadium.
I was sitting along the third base line at that Rangers game in Arlington. Lightning struck something in the parking lot behind the third base seating. Funny thing is, there were a couple of Minnesota players running towards the Rangers dugout. Loudest pop of thunder I've ever heard, and the players reactions show that they were scared hahaha.
The first one at Globe Life park in Arlington I was there I worked for the stadium for 4 and half years, every game I worked. If anyone has ever been there(old stadium now) we had baseballs around the 3rd story concourse and from what I heard from fans and employees it the lightning had struck one of them. I was working on the first story atm the time, but it rocked that stadium, It was a flute bolt too, sky was clear no rain nothing.
The worst scratches I’ve gotten is from a kitten. It took DAYS for the pain to dissipate. I feel for the guy! Love the military - didn’t know Ohio had it in them!
The NBC Game of the Week between the Reds and Giants at Riverfront Stadium on April 17, 1976 was delayed for about 35 minutes by a swarm of bees that invaded the stadium, and a few bees were still flying around during the game. Just about everyone fled to the concourse during the delay, but a few thousand were still seated, vainly trying to swat them away, making for amusing viewing. It would be great if you could find that footage
Imagine if they got real seals to do it next year. That'd be even better EDIT: I don't care about what you guys consider a real SEAL, I was talking about the aquatic animal carrying the ball to the mound because that would be pretty cute
@@jannik8690 he doesn't get what you mean but I picked up on it super quick lol. no one understand you can't be a seal and be a reservist. its not a thing lol
1980 World Series game 6. As Tug McGraw is pitching to Willie Wilson, they paused for a few seconds while Philadelphia Mounted Police got the horses in place anticipating the 3rd out and the Phils first title.
Football announcers: “Pardon the interruption folks, we’ve got a fan running on field but they should be cleared soon.” Baseball announcers: “Look at this idiot”
They probably just had him shut it off. For those of you that don't know, most bicyclists that ride at night and use a light will put it on strobe like that to draw more attention. The one I have it is easy to accidentally turn on like this. This guy probably goes out at night enough to use this setting.
@@n-s-a7113 let me show you the hypocrisy of you idiots - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GG_d4aIsCP0.html I was here for this one - 2014 - just look at all those innocent bystanders while hundreds to thousands of blanks are fired within less than 20 feet of proximity. I was at the same event again in 2016, 2017, and yet again in 2022, and 2022 brought even more firepower. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ct5dEUtY4_w.html ^ ^ Look at these guys shooting M2 .50 Caliber BFA Equipped Heavy Machine Guns. But oh no, you come here asking me about the 4 rules of gun safety, you clearly are not a firearms owner yourself. Because they do these tactical demonstrations ALL THE TIME. Hell, the Tampa Bay ones are damn near every year! But lets cry about a single seal team with COMPLETELY UNLOADED weapons while other events go on with blank firing weapons where these guys are the worlds TOP special forces units. If the lot of you diots had a clue, you would understand the multiple redundant checks that go into these events like the SEAL team at the stadium that they dont have a single bullet on them. No Bullets - no bang bangs = no one gets hurt. Now go find someone else to pester with your fake ass account. When you become a SOT/FFL Class III Federal Weapons permit holder, let me know. otherwise, please shut the hell up. I've been a proficient shooter for nearly 30 years now. Unlike you, I dont have to sit behind a fake account to act like I know about firearms, let alone the safety checks that go into these tactical demonstrations. fucking idiot
Back when I still lived in Sydney Aust, I was at a championship game. Suddenly all the lights go out in the stadium without explanation. We can hear but not see military helicopters. Through the darkness we can see a mass of men rappelling down from the helicopters. Still no idea what is going on. About 70,000 bowel motions occurring through the crowd. Suddenly all the lights come back on and there are two squads of Australian special forces troops carrying the trophy that was to be awarded. It was super cool after the fact, but some warning would have been nice. It was only a couple of years after 911 and people were still pretty jumpy about anything out of the ordinary.
It was a basic maneuvers demonstration. That is the basic way they move out from their position and form a ring covering either another person or object or themselves. It was a first pitch, but definitely not a weird delay.
The batter in that first clip looked like he knew what was about to happen. He was all stanced up and everything, then the thunder cracked, and he was out of there.
The cut was so at 2:38 good that I didn’t notice that it didn’t change and I thought the guy who was flashing caused the stadium to turn off lol 😂🤦🏽♂️
I was at Citizens Bank Park once and it was hit by either a weak tornado or strong derecho. People were kneeling in the concourse because of the wind and rain
Those elite soldiers taking a position on the field was a perfect demonstration to ignite excitement in teens and younger to enlist in the military services when they were old enough.
@@michaelmckinnon1591 Basic as 1+1=2 Its the first thing thats taught to gun owners. That's really the only rule my dad ever really taught me about guns. Always point at the ground and always assume it's loaded even if you just emptied it. Off you go son have fun!
@@ssjwes that's because most gun owners drop the mag and don't cycle the action on a semiautomatic, so odds are there's a round in the chamber but SEALs are taught to make sure the gun isn't loaded when doing public displays like that.
