I feel you, Sheena. I would never let people lick the stirring spoons, apply the coconut oil directly from the container and never use sticky spoon in the entire bag. She's not protective of the spoons, she just likes to keep things clean. Simple!

I'm completely distracted by how much of the precious avocado this visitor recklessly tossed in the trash. Unbelievable and shocking😱 I believe Sheena is in agreement. I close all windows and all doors on the visitor's 'method' of peeling avocados 🥑

Avocado chocolate mousse is actually really good! Just leave out the soy sauce, balsamic and coconut oil (you don't need any more fat and it makes the texture too runny). Avocado, cocoa, maple syrup, and a bit of salt is all it needs and it makes a really tasty dessert for anyone who can't eat dairy.

I'm with Sheena about dirty utensils in food containers, it's not safe because of cross contamination, introducing perishables into shelf stable items can result in a petri dish of bacteria, always use fresh utensils

I mean, I was greatly entertained - so 12/10 for that. But the recipe... You made avocado-maple syrup-vanilla-cocoa powder mousse. Frankly, chocolate mousse only needs 3 ingredients: Chocolate, the carrier fluid (cream or, if you're lactose intolerant, some plant-based replacement) and sugar to taste. Like it sweet? add lots of sugar. Like it not so sweet? add little sugar. Ratio of chocolate to carrier fluid is about 1:1. Preparation: Heat the carrier fluid to just under boil, take it off the heat and add the (room temperature!) chocolate. stir it a little to help all the cololate dissolve and put the chocolat-y cream into the fridge over night. When it's cold, beat it with one of those 2-pronged mixer things (no clue what they're called in English) until fluffy, tasting and adding sugar in the process. When it's beaten, serve and enjoy. But, I hear you tell me, it has a million calories per milligram! True, but it's a dessert. The calories kind of come with that territory. 🙂

I can see using avocados but not too keen on the idea of adding soy sauce and balsamic vinegar. However i would give it a taste if given the chance. 😃

Avocado mousse when it's done right, is not good. So when someone who's vegetarian/vegan makes it and says it's not bad, there's no hope for that dessert. Close the windows on avocado mousse!
