Sometimes you just get the weirdest idea for a crochet project and you just have to do it! With the help of my friend Julia we made some pretty chaotic tote bags for this weeks video!

Ok Michelle, let’s have a little chat… I think that your color choices and overall project are AH-MAZE-ING! Stop doubting your art and you! I’m sure that I am not the only one who looks up to and follows your creativity, because it somehow hits for them. The project is a 10. They are all 10’s! They all opportunities to say “I did that”; “I’m going to try this color next”; etc. creativity lights fire to creativity. We all ride that fire differently and it is incredible 🥰

Your color choices pop and look fantastic in the video. 7/10 is too low. This is at least a 9. Great project and video as always.

Love it!! I think using surface crochet would have solved your issue of wonky outlines. I can usually get my surface stitches to go straight. This is such a difficult pattern, Well done on your execution!!!!

OMG COBRA CHICKEN. These bags are fantastic and perfect in their own ways. Awesome job. Now I want to make one with a screaming cobra chicken on it lol

Also, you keep picking yours apart, but the colors turned out soooo good!! The orange in the flame was perfect and gives the flames dimension. The only thing I think you would have liked better would be if you did the outline in a chain stitch like Julia did rather than backstitching with a needle. It gives a straighter edge 🥰

I love making tapestry projects, but the number of bobbins can get insane! It turned out so cute!!! Pray for me cuz I'm transforming a cross stitch pattern to a crochet pattern and I'm going to need like roughly 50 bobbins at once 😭

This is amazing! If I attempt one myself ( big IF) I may have to add some small white stitches for the teeth because that is the most frightening part of your reference photo. 😅

I'd love to give you 2 suggestions to help for future projects ❤ 1. Use hair clips to hold the strings of your bobbins together. Like if you have to move your projects around you just gather the bobbin strings and use one of those metal hair clips that lay flat, into one and they won't go all crazy and flopping around. Alternatively you could just hair clip the bobbins directly to the project aswell so there are virtually no slack on the yarn so they can't tangle up 2. Trace your finished piece on paper or cardboard and cut it out and take it with you to the fabric store and then you can have a more realistic idea of how much fabric you'll need!

I think the border might look good if you outlined with the same colors or just slightly darker just to smooth the lines without having such a huge contrast.

I use my camera in greyscale to see if the color are too close together! I know the position of your room, and the angle the light shines in can change how the colors look too. Be sure to check the colors in a room you’ll be in mostly

Ahhhhhhhh!!!!! Thos came out amazing!!! I think the colors you chose were spot on. I love how intense they are to show the inner rage of the goose!!! You can definitely see the contrast between the colors. I really like how the Canadian goose turned out as well, but yours is my favorite 😍 ❤️
