When I first learned, I think I was about nine. I remember bringing my friends and third grade teachers “bracelets” (chain tied together at the ends). I thought they were really impressive. My mom taught me to chain, and then how to add rows. She taught me single and double stitch, half double, and triple. Now i love to learn new stitches and I am finally learning how to read patterns. I am a fifth generation crocheter. I actually just inherited a collection of my grandmother’s, great grandmother’s, and great, great grandmothers hooks. Some of them are so small, you can barely see the head of the hook!
