This is a virtual sea trial of our Chaparral 270 Signature w/ Twin Mercruiser 1.7L Diesel, 2 x 120HP, Alpha 1 Sterndrives with 19” pitch props.
The boat is as spacious as 28 ft cruisers come, it looks super-stylish, boasts a high quality build, has a pair of economical Diesel engines, handles well in rougher water and delivers a ‘big boat’ feel in an easy to manage package.
It gets up on plane quickly and has a maximum speed of around 28mph at max revs (4,400rpm), it’s comfortable cruising speed is 15 -20mph but will happily cruise at 6mph at 1000rpm.. perfect for the inland waterways.
