I adore the reverse headstock, I spend so much time tuning that having the tuning pegs accessible makes everything so much easier.

I recently bought a Pro series ML2 and ML3 Semi Hollow and I will not buy another guitar unless it has stainless steel frets. I hope the Pro series comes out with a new ML1 Pro Hybrid option. Maybe something with sunburst or black transparent finish. After looking at the website the ML1 X would be great.....just put some stainless steel frets on it. Everything looks great guys.

I for one love the reverse headstocks. There used to be a myth floating around (not sure if it's a false memory or if it's true at all) that having the low string a little longer can increase tuning stability and make it easier to bend. Which both of those things are great for metal 😅

Once when I was digging into effect of scale length, the topic of the overall string length came up. Somewhere I read that Jimi Hendrix's "sound" was partly because he used a reverse headstock.

I suggest bumping up the string gauge on the baritone. When I bought my PRS 277, it came stock with a 13-65 set, and it absolutely would not stay in tune, so a 12-60 certainly never will either. I decided to go with the XL 14-68 set, and that works perfectly for Drop A. So, if a 27.7-inch scale length needs a 14-68 set, a 28-inch scale should be able to get away with a 13-65 set, but nothing lighter than that is ever going to work.

The reverse headstock on them all is getting old, but I agree with other comment, they need a complete reboot, they just have that “Mitchell” or “Rogue” or “Harley Benton” look to them.

Branding - every time you change something, you potentially dilute your brand. Chapman didn't exactly have strong branding from the start though so agreed, perhaps a refresh is needed. However, we have no idea what sales numbers are, perhaps they are absolutely smashing it in which case changing the formula would be madness!

You say the reverse headstock is getting old, but there are some very valid reasons why reverse headstock is superior, relating to string length, thickness and break angle past the nut... believe it or not. Is reverse headstock necessary, not really, but it does come with benefit, not least of all the tuning pegs are more ergonomically accessible to the hand when the guitar is slung on you... IE the pegs are underneath rather than over the top. Ppl just don't like it so much because it aesthetically unconventional. Had Leo fender originally gone with this setup you'd be biased the other way completely.

These have been out in Australia for a few weeks now I believe. Too expensive for a Chapman here at least. Nice but too expensive. For the same money here you can get an Ibanez fitted with Dimarzio pickups or a really nice Fender. They're essentially more than double what I payed for my Chapman ML1 standard in 2020. And I purchased my Chapman ML3 Pro traditional in 2019 for the same price as these standards🤷🤷

£600 for a Chapman Standard now? I paid £367 for an ML3 Modern Standard Red Sea a year and a half ago here in Thailand. I know inflation is running high at the moment but that's just taking the piss to be honest. That's more than a 60% price increase in 18 months. It does make it very tempting for me to snap up one of the Rainstorm models with SD pickups in though, as they are still only £505 here.

Forget what? That a gigging guitar fanatic puts out great guitars? I purchased mine at Andertons and, despite having a proper tele, custom SG, etc. I tend to gig with the Chapman. It has a great feel and the tones seem just right (to me, at least). When I first bought it, no one knew what it was. That seems to have changed and the brand is maturing. Congrats to all involved.

Ive never been one to bash chapman guitars on that hate bandwagon, owned a few too and they were decent. Fact is though, they depreciated SOOO bad which is great for people wanting a hell of a lot of guitar for their money on the used market. The only gripe I have with chapman is on the ML1 for yearssssss that selector switch has been in the wrong place. many people have said it and they never seem to listen and move it lol. Dave Simpson even went to the extreme of having a tech drill out the correct place and move it. I do find it odd theyve been glued to the reverse headstock thing too, it is quite annoying but not a huge issue.

As much as I like Chapman guitars and the pickups do sound great, the price range is a sticking point for me. In that money range and less I have ibanez, ESP, Gretsch, Sterling,EVH, Schecter etc to choose from ,all of which sound and play equally as good and some better. And imo they look better too. I do wish him every success with his new range though, but value for money? I'm not convinced.

Sorry guys but I’ll never buy another Chapman 🎸. And I’d tell anyone considering one to run a mile! between me and my bro we’ve had 4 (2 xnew 2x2nd hand) the new ones both had multiple defects and clearly had next to zero QC (tuner studs were actually loose and multiple frets weren’t even seated properly). My local 🎸 shop even tried help us out to get these issues fixed but received zero response from Chapman and we just ended up selling them for less than half of what we paid

I'm intrigued by the different kind of bridge on the Les Paul like guitar. I've always wanted like a Les Paul with a bridge that felt different like more like a Floyd Rose but without the instability caused by having a tremolo. Plus I never liked the set screws on fender style bridges jabbing me in the hands

Everything normally sounds great on here, but these sound awful to me. Dont think it's the guitars but a weird vibrating/clipping/gated sound. Are they playing thro an amp sim or something? Edit: Seems to be on the first guitar Pete had actually, from 5:10 probably just the gain

Morning gents. Great intro. Nice guitars. Not my thing though. Nothing about them really stands out or screams at me to own one. Not staying they are bad guitars. I'm nowhere near good enough to be able to effectively describe a "good" guitar. These ones just don't turn me on... So to speak.

good sounding guitars but I much prefer the 3 a side headstock shape. I think moving to the shape across all models would for me at least make me consider one. Love the look of the mat green ML3 but the reverse headstock is a no for me. Again they sound great but us guitarists are a fickle bunch and we buy with our eyes as much as we do our ears.

I agree it sounds a bit crackly in this video if you have headphones on. Wasn't sure if it was the guitar or the amp. They are on my wishlist but I hope we get another dorje album first.
