Corey, that Martin D18 Authentic 37' is a tone/volume monster. I have played a few of those including one 2005 (first year) and one from 2006 and 2007.Once you play, feel and hear one, you will not forget them and If one can get accustomed to the chunky neck profile one will be really longing to find a way to buy one.That typical overpriced Bourgeois Panama sound Trent demo'd is not even in the same league as that D18 A 37'.A couple of points of clarification regarding some of your comments. Medium gauge P.B. string tension varies somewhat from manufacturer to manufacturer. The D'Addario XS (coated strings) is rated at 185 lb vs the Martin MA550T treated or non treated MA550 strings which have a rated tension of 190 lb..I can feel the difference between the two and there is a small change in neck relief difference and 12th fret string height from those two strings that can be measured but is only about .001-.0015" neck relief difference and about .002"-0025" in string height difference. Also, Martin ended the pre war forward shifted scalloped braced dreadnought design in mid 1938 at which time they began using rear shifted top X scalloped bracing. Additionally, the pre war 1-3/4" nut width from Martin ended in mid 1938 also at which time they began using the 1-11/16" nut widths.

I feel like a curmudgeon saying this…but in a world full of artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors, breasts and intelligence, I just can’t embrace artificial relicing that seems to be ubiquitous nowadays. But for those who like it, I’m glad it’s an option for ya.

What a joke you guys played none of these martins when JP was there. Oh in case you where wondering he is the Martin hater that says they cost to much when comparing to overseas guitars, overlooking that anything overseas compared to american made is going to be a big price difference. You guys just demoed bourgeois that cost the same as a 1937 martin. JP is a shill, shame on you guys for hosting him and not calling him out on his martin hate. Especially since you guys are a martin dealer.

I can totally recommend the Yamaha LL-TA, agree with you, it's an awesome guitar that sounds better than everything I've tried in this price range ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TbsaRKYtjKA.htmlfeature=shared , it totally blew away my Taylor AD17, just outstanding sound especially after it opens in like 4 years time
