The guy n the middle is straight funny. Although he tries to not be so obvious that he is trying to stay focused is just hilarious. He always try to not break but he can't help himself is gold. Pops just break.
Eddie wrote in his autobiography that Charlie was the funniest person he'd ever known, long before Chappelle's Show, and I feel like the show solidified to everyone that Eddie wasn't just speaking nice about his older brother. He truly was a hilarious storyteller, comic, writer, and personality.

Guys, I was at work in 1983 and we all stopped to watch Michael Jasckson's Thriller premiered on MTV. It was amazing and awesome and everyone had their jaw wide open. It was like nothing anyone of us had ever seen before.
A lot of people don't give Neil Brennan credit for this show even though he's the co-creator. He's that white dude in the court room when Dave says "and Dave can take notes". He's a good writer but I never found Neil's standup to be funny.

It's crazy how R. Kelly totally got away with being on literal video, backed by overwhelming outside evidence, that he was sleeping with underage girls for a long, long time, and walked free only because he paid off the girl and her parents to claim that it wasn't her. The father of the girl later ended up with a bass guitar credit on one of Kelly's albums too. We know he was a tremendous musical talent and songwriter but goddamn, it took a post-MeToo documentary on Lifetime to convince the public that this dude was a menace to women and underage girls over a literal video of him, at his totally recognizable Chicago house, on the Internet for everyone to download and see for themselves, committing a bunch of child sex crimes. I didn't mean to make this post all serious, you guys are wholesome and hilarious, but to think that sketch was aired around 2003 or 2004 and it took another 15 years for him to finally be brought to justice after Chappelle satirized the utter ridiculousness of it. For the record, I did watch the video, it was on WinMX way back in the day and like most people, I had to see it to really understand others when they said it's so totally and obviously him. Like, I don't believe Michael Jackson was a child abuser for one second, I feel like anyone who does even cursory research on the stories, trial, allegations, etc. can clearly see it's been a scam to get his money made precedent by the first kid's dad who literally wanted a screenwriting deal to keep quiet about the allegations - on top of the fact that the actual kid hadn't spoken to his parents upon getting emancipated and getting his $20 million. Plus MJ's insurance company paid that off, not MJ, but anyway, like imagine if Michael was on video doing what Kelly was doing, on the Internet, and still walked way back when the same time as the Kelly case. Sometimes this world is ridiculous and Chappelle was way ahead of his time for making fun of exactly that.
