I learned how to mount acrylics from the video and have done about 20 since! The biggest I have done is a 20 x 30 successfully. I am now trying to roll a 30 x 45 inch print but am getting bubbles EVERYWHERE! All over the surface of the photo when I put the double sided adhesive one. Do you know what is going wrong? does the laminate need to be tight to the roller? Thank you!
In the very beginning the facemount is webbed on the laminator but it is never processed like this in the following instructions. Would webbing the facemount on the laminator be easier for large prints.
Why is there small little specks between my photo and my acrylic after laminating? I’ve cleaned my laminators rollers, and dust everything well. Still getting the issue.
The smoothness of the paper and acrylic, as well as the amount of pressure during application is very important in eliminating silvering. A smooth gloss paper such as fujiflex or metallic will give very good results.
Hi, very good videos, very helpful and well explained, I've been looking for some courses, I saw almost all of your videos and I really like this kind of job, do you teach or do courses or have any school, I'm really interesting in learning and also have questions, I will appreciate it, thank you.
Hello Steve, There are several print medias to choose from when face-mounting. The main factor is completely smooth surfaces are required or you will get less than desired results. We are currently working on our own solution/ product for this application, but it is not available yet. Below is a website to look at that has several options. Again, make certain you order glossy smooth material that is matched to your printer type. artisanhd.com/print-products/hd-photo-papers/
