I was on my way home from school and every newspaper in the shop had the same front page. It's the one moment I'll never forget where I was when I heard about it.

Bush being adamant to return to Washington and not wanting to speak from a bunker, but the Oval Office, will always stick with me. Showed strength in a time of crisis.

Never have I EVER seen images from inside the classroom that he was working in. I never considered that their best bet was to hunker down and figure this out at the school. What a crazy time

Crazy to think that 9/11 was 20 years ago

The years go by, it gets tougher for me to watch these attacks.

I remember getting ready for school (Australia) and seeing it on tv and hearing about it on the bus and it not fully sinking in till the end of the day.

If I never had love and admiration for president Bush before 9/11, everything change right after this speech, and he changed the world and make sure that we were saved from evil. I love president Bush, as a non-American, I was hoping what the US military was going to recruit outside the US.

President Bush exhibited the true strength and compassion of the American people. He United America and the world and prevented hate but demonstrated National Democratic protection- bless this great man, and Cheney- all my life I will remember

"Is Rumsfeld alive?" Imagine being there and the President asks that question. That's one scary question... That's one scary moment.

I imagine Bush thought being President would go rather smoothly since the public see him as a refresh after the drama from Clinton. Until that fateful September morning changed everything. Edit: Fateful sorry my device recognizes it as 'faithful', I'm deeply sorry about that.

I'm pretty young and I was born about 10 months after 9/11, but George Bush seems like a great guy and I cannot imagine all the thoughts that were going on in his head during all of this. He seems like a true professional.

The President accomplished the most difficult achievement in the history of The United States and He successfully protected the world from falling into financial destructive turmoil. Today the world is enjoying so many good things as a result of His World Wide brave action. In my opinion He deserves a special recognition for saving the world from falling into a kind situation which was far worse than "Great Depression". I salute Him and His Administration for His consistent determination.

Never forget! 😢 I was in my first year of college.

The President handled the situation bravely and efficiently by bringing His Nation under control and taking an immediate action against the intruders. Being a Leader during times like this is very difficult and scary. Don't get me wrong! I am talking about intruders of the financial world - nothing to do with Iraqis. Iraq and Afghanistan were perfect strategic locations to control the financial world and the presence of the United States for monitoring purposes in those areas was essential.

Glad he was our president on that day ! Strong and compassionate leader ! Would love to shake his hand one day and thank him !

Unfortunately, this was the last time we were really united as a country.

I am from Iraq, I lost my uncle in this war, and I do not expect that there is an Iraqi family that did not lose anyone, but what makes me laugh more in this miserable life is that the person who kills a person is imprisoned for life or executed, while the person who kills a million Playing sports in the streets of New York💔

He was made for this moment. To remain calm and in control amidst all the chaos, that is George W. Bush. Whether it's Saddam Hussein or Osama Bin Laden somebody will pay for the attack in Washington. Today, the world is better without the "Butcher of Baghdad".

I was just over 10 months old when this happened. My mother had me in her lap in front of the tv and was crying. I of course had no idea what was happening. My father was at work and the news spread like wildfire through the office. Everyone had stopped what they were doing and gathered in the break room with the TV’s. As he later told me, it was so quiet in there that you could have heard a fly’s wings buzzing. Then the whole office was told to go home. He got out of there fast and became part of the literal evacuation of the city (we lived in Fort Worth at the time) as everyone got the hell away from all the skyscrapers.

You want to talk about a chill coming up your spine? That morning I was on one of the taller buildings in downtown Dallas working on some microwave communication equipment while listening to the radio about this. When they announced it looked like it was done on purpose, I was 40ft up on a tower like structure on the roof(55 story building if I remember correctly) of that building and froze in place, and then started looking around for planes. My whole body was shaking as I climbed down while looking all around. Security met me at the stairwell and ushered me out of the building very quickly as they were evacuating everyone. I'll never forget that feeling. I can still close my eyes and picture it.

He took such a bold and respected decision. It's unfortunate the war took too long.

If he didn't invade Iraq, I think he would have retained approval throughout.

What he whispered in Bush's ear was :. Mr president second plane succeeded, now is your show time, get on the stage and sell them our war.😅

I was cutting grass in my back yard, I didn't go to work that day.

Better the 9 month president who was deemed unqualified rather than the stupid president that has occupied the white house at the moment. I may not like agree with or like George Bush but he was a president who was a considerate and understood seriousness of situations and acted rightfully with remorse, I will take Bush any day than trump.

Another case of Federal gubment incompetence! The US intelligence agencies were warned by many foreign agencies an impending aircraft attack was developing. I was a pilot flying a Waco Biplane giving tourist rides around Marathon, Florida Keys. afternoon Aug 25, 2001 I greeted two dark completed guys at my office. The heavyset guy did the talking, I couldn’t pronounce his name after several inquests I said I’m just going to call U “ Al”. The other guy was short and chiseled and would barely speak or make eye contact, his name was easy Mohamed. They told me they were airline pilots in training. After the flight they told me I would hear about them or they would be famous....I was troubled, walked in my office and picked up my receipt book and studied the signature on the receipt and pondered what did they mean by that? As soon as I saw Mohammad on tv I recognized him, the other guy was Marian Al Sherri, the #1&2 WTC pilots. The FBI met with me , I gave them the receipt. The terrorist also met with another flying business at Marathon airport. Local newspapers wanted to interview me but I didn’t want any part if the infamy. A few months later the Keys newspapers noted the thugs were tracked thru the Keys that weekend on their last hurrah , hitting bars and strip joints in KW. I guess the terrorist knew those 69 virgins were just another fairytale of theology , like every fkn religion.

I thank god everyday my dad got transfered to cancel street on May of 01 he worked at the wtc for ever since 1982 he was in the secound tower he says he would of gotten out after the 1st but who knows my cousin was a fire fighter who was in the daily news of him getting sid into his eye the picture is him with an eye patch being pushed in a ambulance the radios were not working ..... he claims that if they were working like ones today would of half of the people would of survived because after the tower went down all communications went off and his friend who lived and rescued someone in there said they had no clue the other building went down they just felt a rumble they thought it was just objects poor guy is a hard alchi because he saw alot of people falling he said the impact sounded like a bomb went off like the street vibrated and everything when those poor men jumped and my dad knew alot of people in there and lost alot of friends especially in cannifiestgerald who everyone who worked there all died I'm 30 and I was like 7 and I remeber everything about that day the weather was the best day 75 no humidity light winds the sky was a dark aqua blue because of the hurricane that passed us the day b4 if that hurricane hit ny like it was intended this would of never happend I went to like 30 wakes and the fighter fighter Ceremony because my cousin lost half his house and got a meddle for his bravery there's another photo where he's holding a black women pointing to an emt after the 1st fell I still remeber the smell that day and remeber papers from the wtc that flew over the Houdson over into bay ridge 😢 I thank the 343 men who lost there lives and to this day as bad as it was it is still the greatest rescue in fdny history they came in did there duty even tho it ment there own lives that day every fdny NYPD and port authority and emts stepped up and saved thousands from dieing and I am still mad that Galliani never got a 3rd term that man where any other mayor would of hid in there bunker not him he got dressed and went out down there leading the helm as like a king leads the charge into battle 😢

Some bad hombre this one ITY...

I have a bit of an issue with all of this because I have done a great deal of looking into the events of this day and I am very unsatisfied with what I have found. There were some VERY shady activities going on that day. Building 7 was a demolition job. Undeniable. A 757 did NOT hit the Pentagon. Undeniable. There's really no point in going on and on. I'm a former deputy sheriff and when I'm told of shady activity, I look into it. If someone has 3 bullet wounds in the back of their head and laying on the floor of their garage with a gun in their hand, a suicide note on the workbench, I would have a very difficult time believing that it was actually a suicide because of the evidence at the scene. People don't typically shoot themselves in the back of the head, and if somehow they managed to pull it off, they don't shoot 3 times. People don't typically commit suicide with a baseball bat or a hammer. If one of your family members had these injuries and you were told by the coroner that it was a suicide, I suspect you'd be outraged. We were told that 757 hit the Pentagon. The damage to the building is not consistent with that claim. A 757 is HUGE. The hole in the outer wall of the Pentagon was not round. It looked like what a wooden backyard privacy fence would look like if you took a chainsaw and cut from top to bottom and moved 20 feet an cut from top to and and removed the small section. There was ZERO wing impact damage, no wings or jet engines outside the building. They would have hit the building and been ripped off or they weren't there. Watch IN PLANE SITE DIRECTORS CUT. Decide for yourself. It's on utube but hard to find. Google it under videos. Pretty unbelievable.
