That’s the best most loving and funny eulogy I’ve ever heard. I have watched it hundreds of times now and I can’t believe how well spoken he was.

Hate or love George Bush, but I wish my kids talk about me with that kind of admiration and love one day. That is one son, who really loved his his father.

In moments like these there's no republican or democrat. Just humans.

That's the best eulogy I've ever heard. It was a beautiful tribute, written in love from a son to a father. I'm sitting in bed and it brought tears to my eyes.

I cried watching this. I’m not American, I wasn’t alive when Bush senior was in the White House and I’m not a father. Like many others have said, I rarely cry at anything… but I cried because it served as a reminder that no matter your background, your career or your creed, we are still human. The sense of love and compassion in this speech is a bit overwhelming, but I commend George W. Bush for showing the world that despite everything that they’ve both witnessed in their lives, they clearly made so much time for each other and meant the world to one another. The charisma, humour and energy conveyed in this speech is like little else I’ve seen recently - the words we say don’t matter half as much as the way we convey them.

I felt for him. He had to bury both parents within a year of each other.

It's calming to be reminded of the civility this country once knew compared to the chaos today. This brought such joy I had to watch it twice.

The line about his hugging Robin and holding Barbara's hand is impossible not to tear up over.

I still choke listening him say, "The best father a son can have" .

No matter which political spectrum one lies, that is one heck of a speech and I can only hope to be one tenth of a father to my sons.

I voted for both George H W and George W. I am still proud of both of them. Two great men.

It's absolutely incredible...the way Bush 43 gave that speech. I remember hearing about his passing, and it was so sad. It's never easy seeing anyone go, but Bush 41 and his wife seriously held on for dear life...literally. But it was time, and they have both left a huge legacy. Hats off to Bush 43 for delivering such a moving eulogy, honoring a man that changed the country and the world. It takes a lot to go up and speak at a funeral, especially if you were really close.

I think Jimmy Carter found the philosopher's stone cuz I feel like he might outlive my kids that I don't even have yet.

I love old love stories from my grandparents and great grandparents generation My Grandpaw was 77 when his dad( my great-grandfather) passed away just shy of his 102nd birthday in 2015 and my grandpaw mom is still alive and doing well she will be 100 in September, they were married 76 years at the time of his passing She was 14 and he was 25, and then my great grandparents had their first child my Grandpaw When my Great grandmaw had just turned 16 ❤️ I’m so blessed and grateful to have had the privilege of knowing them up until I was 16 years old, not many people can say that ❤️

I may have a very complicated relationship with the Bush’s but that’s a very good speech. Loosing a love one is a tragedy no one wants to go through but will have to at some point in time.

When George W Bush broke down at the end of the eulogy there was no doubt in my mind that he thought the world of his Father !

I live in Kennebunk. I used to see President Bush around a lot. He and Barbara used to sneak away from his Secret Service escort in an old beaten up white Honda they borrowed from their housekeeper to go to the Kennebunk Inn or Boulongerie for lunch. A stupid neighborhood cat often lays down right in the middle if the street in the Summer when its hot. I watched one day from the top of my roof, where I was paining, as the Bushes drove down the street, stopped at the cat, which refused to move and then waited. The cat, still refusing to move and the Bushes, unwilling to beep their horn and disturb the quiet neighborhood, waited and waited and then President Bush got out of the car, scooped up the cat, petting him and calling him an " idiot cat" and placed the cat in the middle of a yard. Then they drove off. I heard Barbara say out the windiw, " make sure its safe, George" and he said, " yes dear". Its the stuff you do when you don't think anybody is watching that shows your character. I watched him pick up a lot if trash off the beaches in the morning too as he was out walking his dogs. God Speed Sir and rest well. I am going to miss you.

Man my dad hated George Bush with a passion, but I think I’ve come to like him as a man. Idk about his politics, but many people said he seemed very compassionate and human in the moments when it mattered. A son giving a beautiful eulogy. That's all. I don't understand any negative dislikes. Most everyone will grieve the loss of their parents. I lost my husband 12 years ago, followed by my dad 5 months later, then my beloved mother 7 months later. It was a rough time but life goes on and my hope is to make them proud of me.

I'm amazed there's so little crying in the audience. A great eulogy like that turns me into a facial fountain hose when I'm at funerals.
