If I had a nickel for every FE youtuber I’m subscribed to that uploaded a chapter 19 clear of Fates in Lunatic/Classic with lots of amazing attack stance-centric strategies, I’d have two nickels. I know it’s not a lot, but it’s weird (and great!) that it has happened twice.
I am curious as to what the Apothecary line does for Oboro’s strengths (or just what they are in this context). But since Oboro is naturally decently bulky, of course they would work. Not to mention both give her better ranged options. I personally would go Merchant for the Lance/Naginata access, of course, but I can see Mechanist’s appeal (being the same as it is for Takumi, pretty much).
You aren't able to capture these units because they're illusions and not actually real soldiers. Hence why Orochi's "Capture" command is absent throughout this map.
Since you mentioned the first Heart Seal for Oboro (and given how big of a choice it is considering it’s the only one before Ch. 13) what do you think makes her a good choice specifically and how do you think she ranks compared to other candidates? Handing out Seals is one of my favorite things about planning Fates runs, with how amazingly varied this game’s class system is.
I think it's actually better to heart seal Oboro AFTER she promotes. A great time is chapter 16. The great thing about Oboro is that she already has amazing growths and base stats, starts with a good lance rank, and importantly is the only unit that naturally gets seal DEF. Until chapter 16, she can be an absolute powerhose that can one shot most enemies with the Swordcatcher or Beast Killer (especially important in chapters 14 and 16), and then after that being lancelocked becomes way harder so she can reclass into merchant or mechanist to get bows. In those classes, she'll get access to more weapons with 2 range than the single Javelin you get (unrestricted 1-2 if mechanist), which further improves her abilities as a debuff bot. Since her heart seal is apothecary, she also gets Potent Potion (extra stats with tonics), spendthrift (+10 damage stack in lategame), and Profiteer (more money is always nice). TLDR; Mechanist and Merchant >>>>>>>>>>> Spear Master and Basara.
One of the funniest maps in the series, it's so goofy lol. Honestly wish the rev and cq version of this map did something fun like this, they're kinda boring maps as is
Conquest's version of this map is just annoying, particularly the center and right rooms. Rev's is just kinda boring yeah, there's no intersting challenge or unique twist to it. Really wished they expanded more on this map considering it's in all 3 routes. Something like different starting positions for example would go a long way.
I mean, in Conquest you aren’t fighting illusions. Just Hinoka’s squad of soldiers. But that could have been made more fun. Revelation does not have this excuse.
