This class is really hard especially when working full time it makes anatomy and physiology seem like kindergarten work not sure if I’m gonna make it through I may withdraw it’s not worth risking getting sick from stress my average so far is an 87 but the intensity the quizzes every week I’m just at the point where I’m going to break down it’s alot this type of course is for students who don’t work I may consider not doing nursing I can’t get through this class it’s impossible

2:30:00 carbon monoxide poisoning My teacher didn't talk about ATP synthase 2:32:00 is ATP synthase an intregal or a peripheral protein? 2:38:00 what's the difference between ethe matrix and the cristae?

cristae is the inner mitochondrial membrane folding and matrix is the space inside the inner membrane. and ATP synthase is usually considered as an integral protein because it is only exposed to the level of inter membrane space, it does not extend outside the space.

I understand that enzymes lower the activation energy of a particular molecule(correct?). My question is what is it actually doing to lower this energy? Is it taking the substrate, for example lactose, and re-configuring the molecule so it is more sensitive or better yet more reactive? Is this done for example by breaking the bonds on the substrate along with possibly adding functional groups that may make it more polarized? Thank you.
