Thanks Brian! We appreciate you checking us out! As far as pellet vs. Gravity fed... it's going to be a toss up to what you prefer. I love my pellet smokers but I've always loved charcoal flavor. The Gravity gives you the best of both worlds. The ease of the pellet smoker but instead of pellets, you use charcoal briquettes or lump charcoal. Plus you can add wood chunks to enhance your flavor profile! I hope this helps and thank you again! Cheers my friend🍻🍻

What flavor of honey do you use? I use Elderberry. I also use duck fat for a binder. Good ribs!

Alright sir, I have 2 questions 1st - Any regrets, or things you don't like about that 980? 2nd - How much for a plate? Those looked mighty fine. It's time to upgrade from the pellet. It's convenient but doesn't do much for producing bark and that good wood flavor.

Thanks for asking! 1st... The only thing I don't like about the 980 is sometimes you'll get small pieces of charcoal that pass through the flap and throw a ERF error (fan won't run) and it's tedious when you have to actually take the fan off to get the charcoal out. Other than that... it's pretty flawless! 2. Just come on over fam.... we take care of our people! Everybody eats👍🏾👍🏾 Appreciate you reaching out! Anything else you need help with, let me know. I honestly can't answer that Roderick. I've never used the MASTERBUILT personally. My friend Geoff over @Outdoors With Geoff actually has a really good comparison vid. Cheers🍻🍻

Hey Robert! I add a couple of wood chunks to the ash pan personally. I usually add them right before I'm about to add the food. Once it starts smoking... I'm good to go👍🏾👍🏾 cheers🍻🍻

I do have a question to ask you Chief, For some reason my Chargrill griller doesn't seem to heat up as fast as others seem to be doing? My grill seems to take 30 some minutes get up to 275 Degrees.

@@timwashington824 That doesn't sound right... but I did learn a little trick a long the way. Try to tap on the shelf under the charcoal.... sometimes ash will build up under the charcoal and it limits the coals getting hot. 😉😉

Have you had problems with the fan flap? Heard it burns out and causes temp to spike out of control.

I just seen a vid from TrendKillr and his fan flap burning away. It will make me take a good look at it later today. I haven't had any issues at all with mine. I'm hoping it was just a bad unit and not an actual problem with the grills themselves

I told you I just got mine the other day. I’ve used it twice and love it. I have 2 questions tho and I know one is more than likely gonna be a customer service issue. 1. My ribs and chicken have a little charcoal flavor, but not like my offset grill. Is there any tips on getting better “grilled” flavor out of from the grill? I put wood chunks in the ash bin and I got good wood flavor, but I need more charcoal flavor, if that makes sense. I use Kingsford charcoal. 2. During both my cooks, I had to disconnect the wires in the back and reconnect them because it was saying a door was open, but they weren’t. Have u had that issue?

Congrats again fam!! As far as charcoal flavor go, I was getting a good amount with Kingsford blue. My fiancee got me some Royal Oak Charcoal briquettes to try and it was a massive difference between the two! I feel from the royal Oak, it was way too much but both are good enough for me. I've never had any problem with the doors or switches. 🤔🤔 Maybe a pinch in the wire? Definitely would be something I would reach out to Char-Griller about Good luck my friend and cheers! 🍻🍻🍻

@@ramtuff111, thanks, man. I’m going to try the Royal Oak and see if there is a difference. I’ve used Kingsford so long, I thought Royal Oak was generic. I’m currently watching ur cleaning video. That’s going to be very helpful. On a side note, I see ur Raiders paro. I’m a 9er fan way down in Alabama. 😂😂

One of the other Guy's on RU-vid sed he had to get the switches replaced!!! PUSH DOWN ON EACH SWITCH AND SEE IF YOU CAN HEAR THE SWITCH OPEN AND CLOSE AND GIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE A CALL!!!

Thanks Mario and cheers my friend. I'll use it again for sure! It did great one out settled in, plus, I don't want to say it's good or bad based on one cook so far. I'm gonna try a long low and slow cook with them and also hot and fast. Then I'll have a better gauge to use to compare with Kingsford Blue👍🏾👍🏾 Cheers fam🍻🍻
