I have heard the thermostats in the OG acorns will not be accurate after some time. I wonder if the that could be why that grill seems to have been hotter even though the temp readings were all close.
This brother can care less about a seafood boil, he don't like it, he can care less about the shrimps, crabs and all that crap, this is young folks thang, I know some people like this they just don't care for it

I have the auto kamado and 980 and greatly prefer the 980 for smoke flavor. I find the kamado to be severely lacking in smoke flavor and I have tried lump, briquettes, wood chunks soaked and not soaked, nothing gives the smoke flavor of the 980. Sticking with the 980 for smoke but like the ease of high heat cooking and fuel consumption of the kamado.
