You know what I think you might get a ton of use and get a ton of help on a channel, if you made a video about every single Mobile suit ranked in a tier list

Hobby Hizack is S tier all day everyday - I also agree with Nu Gundam, High Nu would be another story altogether but it's not from the movie.

My take on some of these units (I will skip the Nu Gundam, for which I'm very biased against Gundams) 1- The GM III actually proves to be quite effective MS... even 24 years later in U.C. 0112, when some engaged and defeated some far more advanced machines like the Heavy Guns and Gustav Karl, and even held their ground against the F89 and F90 Gundams: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z0WKiPQwbP4.html GM III - S-Tier Also, supposedly both the GM II and the GM III can be upgraded from their respective predecessor (GM & GM II respectively), so it's fun to consider that if the stars aligned, we could possibly be talking of a machine that started out as RGM-79 in U.C. 0079 and through numerous upgrades is still standing its ground 33 years later in U.C. 0112. 2- Sadly I can't say the same of the Jegan, which despite numerous upgrades is shown to be awfully updated 30 years later. Even in-between, the Jegan is said to generally perform worse than Mars Zeon Oldsmobile MS, with the lone exception of the RGM-89R Jegan A-Type, basically a high mobility version for ace pilots. Fortunately for the EF, at that time the first miniaturized MS that had begun rolling out proved the validity of the concept by performing much better against Mars Zeon's MS. Jegan - C-Tier 3- The Re-GZ seems like a good idea on paper, simplifying the Zeta Gundam and apparently even made compatible with some parts of the Jegan, but the result left a lot to be desired. For context, one of the biggest flaws of the AMX-003 Gaza-C was that it lacked a proper movable frame and as a result could only transform FIVE times before its frame broke down. This is one of several aspects that had to be corrected in the all around better Gaza-D, which did use a movable frame and didn't have a transformation limit. The Re-GZ can only use its BWS system when deploying from its mothership and since it can't use any of its actual weapons, it needs some of its own, which are discarded alongside the BWS. When you actually think about it, it basically means that the BWS is just a very expensive space jabber made of gundarium with guns, and if you have to discard one after every deployment, I think the costs you assumed you saved from not building a Zeta Gundam instead start adding up as the costs of building more BWS. Two grades here: Re-GZ - B-Tier (actual performance as just a MS, which is what you would expect of a sharing parts with the Jegan, but with a higher budget for Gundairum & other goodies) Re-GZ+BWS - D-Tier (due to the new problems it brings to the table & costs associated for trying to cut corners) One last thing: the one thing I dislike the most of the Re-GZ is that it seems an unnecessary result from the EF's purge of Zeon like units, because they actually had already produced a unit that solved the high production cost of transformable MS: the RX-139 Hambrabi, which used a very simplified transformation system (essentially just bends its legs over its back) that made it far more cost efficient than previous TMS models like the RX-110 Gabthley, a TMS with a VERY complicated transformation system that in turn ramped up its cost, as well as the Zeta Gundam itself. 4- I have very mixed feelings about the Geara Doga: one hand Rezin's custom unit seems to actually be shut a regular Geara Doga with a different color scheme and Rezin shows how effective the unit can be in the hands of a good pilot. On the other, it feels like another Dra-C moment: the point where you lack of budget gets in the way of producing better units. Up until the Geara Doga, all mass production Axis/Neo Zeon MS used the newer gundarium gamma alloy, which not even the EF/Titans or AEUG could compete with, in many cases having to go back to older models like the Hizack & GM II, and improved models like the GM III needing to cut corners and only use gundarium to protect key areas of the Ms, suing older titanium ceramic composite for the rest. I could spend a long time explaining how this aspect can even be reflected on ships (Endra vs Musaka), but that's conversation best saved for another time. In a way, I'm glad no MS from Axis/Neo Zeon showed up in CCA, because it would feel awkward to consider that the 5 year old units are much better than the brand new Geara Dogas. Geara Doga - B-Tier It's good for what it's meant to be (a cost efficient MS for a financially challenged group of Zeon remnants building their army from scratch), but whenever I remember its place in the overall Zeon development tree... it's depressing. Brownie points for sharing a lot of aspects with the MS-06FZ Zaku Kai (skirt ammo rack, chubby Zaku frame, and apparently even the backpack according to MS Era's photo of Zeon's jovian energy fleet), a MS I like quite a lot. MSN-03 Jagd Doga 5- What the Geara Doga should have been. For some extra context, in Unicorn we see Quess unit's make a comeback with completely different color scheme, but also using the backpack and right arm of a Geara Doga, which makes sense since the Jagd Doga was based on it and this actually shows how compatible both models are. Despite Gyunei being a weaker newtype than Char and the Jagd Doga suppsoedly being worse than the Sazabi, Gyunei actually manages to intercept all nuclear missiles in the wave he intercepts, unlike Char & the Sazabi, which for me shows how effective the Jagd Doga can be in the main trait that differentiates it from a Geara Doga (well, that and it's gundarium alloy armor). One big complain I have with many MS in CCA is that their shields carry weapons, specially missiles, that require moving the shield into a position where it stops providing protection to sue the weapons hick kind of beats the point. For that reason, the Jagd Doga's shield gets some bonus points in my book for having a weapon it can fire without losing its protection (leaving aside the basic notion that perhaps putting any kind of weapon, or even spare clips, that can potentially explode in a piece of metal that is more likely to get hit might not be the best of ideas). On the other hand, its shoulder shield do have still have the aforementioned problem, so perhaps I should just cancel out those points! Quess' beam gatling gun: I hate how in Unicorn this weapon is mainly associated with the RX-0, despite being a weapon of Zeon origin. Quess makes very poor use of it, but we know how effective it can be. I want to think that least the AMX-011G units on Mars that apparently sue it as their standard weapon do put them to better use. Jagd Doga - A-tier (amazing cost efficient MS, but sadly its lacking a few more achievements under its belt to be considered S-tier). 6- Last, but not least, the Alpha Azieru. Where do I even start with this thing? My first impression on it was that it felt underpowered compared to some other MAs we have seen in the past. When faced against the Nu Gundam it felt a bit... helpless, which is not what an idea you want associated with your super weapon. Let me put it in a different way: the Alpha Azieru seems like it tried to copy ideas of previous Zeon MAs, but is consistently made worse every step of the way. It has bits like the Elmeth, but while the Elmeth had 12 bits, the Alpha only has 9. It's supposedly based on the Neue Ziel, but the later had an I-Field that allowed it to protect it's huge body. And somebody noticed this since the Neo Zeong, which even shares the detachable thruster/propellant tank used one. The real offense is that neither the NZ-333 nor the NZ-999 bothered to look at their NZ founder, the Queen Mantha, a MUCH smaller unit which had the beam deflector, essentially an i-field that could also be used offensively to redirect beams. Making matters worse, the Nu Gundam do has a comparable defensive screen! Also, the Queen Mantha has THIRTY funnels, which makes the Alpha's 9 bit even more perplexingly few in comparison. I'm confused with the wired beam arms: there are some situations where wired remote weapons can be useful over wireless ones, but we don't see that happening here and I'm kind of left the impression that there are there simply to provide cheap way to provide the Alpha with firepower all around it's body as needed without the need of installing more beam guns around it, but came at the cost of more actual "all range" remote weapons, since these arms don't seem to stray too far from the main body. On the other hand, its melee capabilities are almost non-existent, which is a pity considering that at times it does seem to be quite an agile MA. I could keep going, but I think Made my point. Alpha Azieru - C-tier (thankfully at least useful in ideal conditions against lots of grunts, but it's mind-numbing how it tends to underperform when compared to older MAs and even some MS) Summary: S-Tier GM III A-Tier Jagd Doga B-Tier Re-GZ, Geara Doga C-Tier Jegan, Alpha Azieru D-Tier Re-GZ+BWS PD: I think the Hizack, not just the Hobby Hizack, tends to be discredited a lot for its infamous flaw (just one beam weapon at time), but people tend to forget that being based on the Zaku rather than the Gelgoog, the goal was likely to make it extremely cost-efficient and easy to maintain, which are traits from the Zaku. The MS-06M Marine Hizack (referred as that even on the old model kits) from Zeta also shows us that modern Hizack frames can be repurposed to recreate specialized variants of the Zaku, from which the EF had a lot of capture production lines from the OYW to use with.

I disagree with a majority of the list. But I am extremely biased when it comes to CCA. It was the first piece of Gundam media I actually owned. I got it in 2002 and have probably rewatched this movie 25+ times. Both Sazabi and Nu Gundam are S Tier designs to me lol.

It was equipped with a bio-sensor, the precursor to the psycho-frame.
@ZeonicFenrir
@ZeonicFenrir Год назад
@@TheLVJ Yes... and no. The bio-sensor seems to be a technology similar to Zeon's psycommu system, which was where the psyco frame was developed from. Unfortunately the details of the biosensor have never been made very clear, and it's said that while the Zeta Gundam and The-O both used bio-sensors, these are supposedly completely different devices, or basically two different systems that achieved a similar result.
