Worried you’re botching your Shakespeare monologue? I’ve got you covered. Catch my exclusive mini training, 3 Big Shakespeare Mistakes (you don’t know you’re making). Here it is: shakespearewithsarah.com/mistakes/

The most dynamic character arc in Shakespeare, for sure! Love this! Margaret is so rich. (And Shakespeare thinks timeline continuity is for posers.) Thanks for the shoutout! I’m halfway through filming Richard III notes, and I’ll definitely link this video up, too! It’s really helpful to contextualize her character, so this video is awesome.

what playing age would you recommend for her monologue in part three? thanks!

Hmmm, good question. She has a teenaged son so technically she would have been in her mid-late 40s I believe. But playing age would depend a bit on the audition/production. If it's for drama school auditions, age range is less important than making sure you can connect to the material.

thank you! it is for drama school - unfortunately they all say my monologues have to be within my playing age :( thanks tho!xx

@@mollieparkinson3694 yeah I'd say look at Part 2, she is technically quite young at that stage. She has a few good ones in there as well, just a different vibe. If you want a fierce one then look at Lady Percy's "O yet for God's sake, go not to these wars", Joan la Pucelle's "Look on thy country, look on fertile France" from Henry VI Part 1, or Lady Anne's "What, do you tremble?" from Richard III. These are within your playing age (just guessing from your pic)

She wasn't in France by the time of R III... she died in 1482 while Edward IV was still alive!
