Hutao considers death as a natural occurrence that doesn't need to be feared, and Baizhu's afraid of his mortality as it seems so far. Baizhu hates Hutao for... frequently kidnapping Qiqi, her precious research subject. Qiqi hates Hutao for condemning her immortality. She wants to live the most. Qiqi dislikes Baizhu for using her as a research subject. But Qiqi keeps quiet about this, as she prefers a rather malicious company better than to be alone again (she died in the wilderness)

​@HH qiqi does not hate baizhu. she is aware that he has ulterior motives in keeping her by his side, but does not concern herself with them at all and is okay with it. read up on her voicelines and story. baizhu also does not experiment on qiqi at ALL. that is not mentioned anywhere. he simply observes her sometimes, even tho he has most likely given up because she was turned into a zombie, and she's technically not really alive or the pinnacle of health.

I think it started with Yelan, that demos became more stylised toward charcters. Starting from her jazzy casino theme the music aspect of these really started to bop.

Probably started further back with Yun Jin, focusing more on the characters themselves rather than what abilities they have.

It mostly depends on the characters I would say. Some characters are just not the embodiment of "hype". Not everyone is a crazy God of Thunder and Eternity with a sick design and sword who's one of the best warriors in the entire world like Raiden Shogun lol Wanderer's demo was absolutely hype in my opinion

Fun fact in china fireflies were symbolic of love/romance. They also have this interesting belief of burning grass becoming fireflies. I do agree there was lots of subtle symbolisms many miss. Only made clearer when you know the Legend of the White Snake, one of 4 love stories that are national historical treasures....and only one of the 4 with a happy ending. 😊
