“If you have any last words save them for judgement day” Very fitting for a character based on Anubis who was said to weigh the souls of the dead and decide if or if not they would move on to “heaven”

Cyno is the perfect character who is based on the desert theme. Has two sides just like the days and nights in deserts - Harsh, brutal, merciless, punishing yet gentle, warm and considerate.

I just love the fact that his aesthetics are inspired by Anubis, and here he is hunting prey in the desert. Absolutely stunning.

Xiao and Cyno has a lot in common, they're both very powerful individuals and they are also mistaken for "kids"

that "Found you." got me like seriously thinking you're safe being in the desert wilds and hearing THAT from literal nowhere

Alot of people say that Xiao and Cyno are very similar, although I won't deny, they are, but now that we know more about Cyno, the biggest difference between them is that Cyno knows the difference between work and life, while Xiao doesn't. Whenever Cyno is working, he solely focuses on that and that only, he doesn't let anything interfere with his work and does it straight to the point, whenever he isn't working, we now know he spends time with his friend, Tighnari, loves to play card games and even tells jokes, he knows the value of living your life and knows that having friends and time off is very important for a person, especially if he wants to improve in his work too, having a good mindset helps significantly. Cyno talks a lot about the importance of talking about things, whether it be directly or indirectly, he says ( not sure if that's exactly what he said tho) "it's helped me to talk to someone about things", and in one of the scenes with Tighnari, he talks about an event that made him feel bad and angry about, which also shows he puts a lot of value and trust in friendships he finds important, and in "talking things out" instead of bottling it. Xiao, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. He defined his work as his life, and his life as his work, because of what he went through, he doesn't believe he deserves a break and finds it his duty to conquer demons day and night without a break, he finds it insignificant to even talk to anyone about anything, both because he doesn't want to affect them with his karma and doesn't care at all. That's until traveller came along, only then did he start opening up a bit more, becoming a bit more relaxed and putting the effort to talk to others, the traveller was the first person ever since the incident that he could openly talk to, which made him more open to others too.

The fact that Alejandro Saab has been wanting to voice Cyno for so long that he finally got that wish is absolutely amazing to me

As someone who waited for Xiao, with a cousin who waited for Ayaka, I salute everyone who's been waiting since launch to pull for Cyno.

When he said "found you" and the music picked up I got CHILLS omg, Kaggy's voice is absolutely perfect for him! So hyped the wait will finally be over soon!!

The way he says “found you” is so badass and satisfying-

Cyno's voice is just so satisfying to hear.

Alejandro Saab definitely nailed it with Cyno's voice. I originally expected him to sound a bit more like a kid when I heard about what he was like, *but Cyno's cold "barely-above-a-whisper" tone here fits him much better.*

Xiao and Cyno have a lot in common. They both use polearms. Their Q puts them in a heightened state. They both cover their face with some kind of mask. They both deal elemental dmg during burst except xiao does not generate any energy particles.

THIS is the man who prepares his unfunny jokes in advance and explains them in great detail when people don't find them funny? I love him.

Cyno at work: Merciless killing machine who will go to any lengths to uphold the law, widely feared by the people of his nation for his ruthless pursuit of those who are guilty of transgressions. Cyno away from work: Cute nerdy boy who collects trading cards and makes super lame jokes, his friends always tell him to shut up.

i see some people expecting cyno to make a corny joke at the end. see, that side of him is contextual. he cracks jokes so people are less intimidated by him as the general mahamatra; this seems to work. of course when actually working he's gonna be nothing but serious he also does try to be cool; personally i think it works bc he has the position to back it up hehe. very excited for him!

Well his teaser can be describe in short only as: he's walking, menacingly. Also eremites called him "kid", heh they really have some nerves. But with all seriousness, I'm quite happy that Hoyo gave him such manly and serious yet youthful voice. All other medium male characters have "teenagers" kind of voice.

Edit: Anyone curious what his eye under his peek-a-boo bangs looks like? I catched a glimpse of it and it appeared more orange than his more re uncovered, but it might just be the animation. 0:58 - 1:06 I’ve rewatched the trailer for at least half a dozen times and this part always cracks me up lol. Cyno’s slow deadpan walk towards them, the way they were just like “a kid????? 🤨” and then two seconds later got obliterated while Cyno never broke his deadpan face. I find the sequence really comedic lmao.
