Marian McFadden not only wrote one of our favorite resources, she's one of our favorite Shelby County "characters." Learning more about her has only deepened our respect for her- in everything she did, she seemed one step ahead, and always with data to back her up.
One reporter for the Indianapolis Star noted, "McFadden generally gets what she wants because before she makes requests she has studied the problems and how they can be financed. She has all the answers ready when school board members start popping questions to her."
Both Shelbyville and Indianapolis wouldn't be where they are today without that studious nature that defined her career and her hobbies.
