Euron in full valyrian steel armor, with the horn of winter at the helm of his ship of mutes sippin on warlock juice with a huge flame tatted red priest next to him is such an amazing image
@acooknamed_Rishi ahhh come on he’s pretty sick, raping and pillaging, summoning demons, absolutely tripping off shade of the evening. I think he’s a great villain
I was watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets the other night, and during the spider chase scene, I couldn't help but feel angry that we didn't get ice spiders the size of hounds in GoT. If they could do those spiders in 2002, HBO could have done them in 2019 😓
Considering Dumb & Dumber's track record with wight mounts, they prioritized a zombie polar bear over Thoros of Myr's character development and plot relevance, even giving his flaming sword to Berric Dondarrion Who knows what they'd cut out to prioritize the ice spiders?
@@Necroxion How much was the budget for the last season. CGI burns through money like fire wood. D&D definitely handicapped themselves by wanting to end the show early. Because they now had to shove so many major battles into a single season and blow through the special effects. Instead of stretching it out over 3 more seasons.
@@thegreatpage5912 pretty much unlimited actually, besides, we actually had a lower budget high-CGI battle during the Battle of Castle Black, during Wun Wun's shots and with that shot of wildlings climbing the Wall In fact, Jon Snow being a Night's Watchman would've easily recommended the wall scythes as a counter to climbing spiders, which could justify the spiders only appearing once in the battle, saving tons of money on the CGI
@@Necroxion Well with the way the battle plan turned out on the show. Season 8 Jon probably would have recommended facing the spiders in an open field lol.
There's so much content and lore in the first 5 books alone that there could be 4 to 6 series' made on television surrounding them. GRRM was capable of giving the reader a plethora of information within merely a paragraph or simply a few sentences. It would only take a producer(s), (winking suggestively) with the imagination and talent to develop each into a brilliant show. I'm still dumfounded on how Victarion Greyjoy, Moqorro, Strong Belwas, etc. were left completely out of the series.
Even though I hated the show from season 5 on, I give HBO a bit of a break. I read that some of the actors were tired of the show and wanted to move on, so that's one thing, and the show was stupidly expensive to shoot. I imagine HBO was looking for the show to end since it was so draining financially.
Who would disagree with the video? In the booksEuron is a sorcerer pirate with valyrian steel armor, who knows about eldritch abominations and magic. He's seen in a vision as a half-kraken monster siting on the Iron Throne surrounded by dead gods. In the show he is the funny pirate with bum fetiche
That sh1t was so dumb. Supposed to be like possibly the greatest swordsman to ever live and he's killed by like 7 of those untrained masked nobodies. One of the worst deaths for sure.
Literally had the same death in the books as cercy made lancel serve Robert wine that had way more alcohol than it ought to have had so he got insanely drunk and the boar managed to get him
@@DMES-wp2fj bariston at 62 is still defeating young strong knights in tourneys and melee duels. 6-8 ex slaves won't sweat him especially with his armor
@@DMES-wp2fj He was old and still one of the best swordsman alive. Provably as well. His show death was dumb, and literally to just nerf Dany's ability to make sound judgement for show reasons.
There‘s STORIES that the White Walkers have giant ice spiders. It might just be that, a myth told to kids to scare them. Although I do like the theory that the spiders are actually just human limbs animated by the Others.
@@dildobaggins2759 In the show she goes from losing stick fights against the Waif, to coming to a stalemate with one of the best combat proven Knights (Brienne) on the entire planet. All in the span of a year. Shit makes no sense at all. Especially considering the only thing she does to get this good is trick the Waif into fighting in a dark room. It's dumb. Arya as a sneaky assasin is believable. Arya fighting to a stalemate against a top 5 warrior with every possible advantage is silly show nonsense.
Bran may have done something in season 8. According to "evil Bran theory" he arranged the burning of King's Landing to get both Jon and Dany out of his way at the same time. This means he is also a betrayer and mass murderer. The evidence for "evil" Bran theory" may exist because the writers were too inept to realize they were putting it in season 8 but it was there. For example here are some items.: 1. Bran encourages Sam to tell Jon about his linage both after Sam is getting cold feet and may not as well as when Sam is in the most anti-Dany mood he ever is (this serves Bran in 2 ways at once in terms of harming things between Jon and Dany). Bran uses Sam to badmouth Dany and to complicate Jon and Dany's relationship. 2. Bran doesn't warn anyone about Euron's fleet. Bran tracks 1 guy on a horse coming North from King's Landing (Jamie) but not Cersei's biggest naval force?? Did he want Missandei and another dragon to die? 3. Bran keeps Jamie around to die at the most useful time. If Jamie dies at Winterfell for pushing a Stark boy out a window then Tyrion cannot really blame Dany for his death. Thus keeping Jamie alive long enough to die in King's Landing makes the timing of his death the most useful to Bran. If Bran wanted to keep Jamie alive he would've backed Brienne up when Jamie was trying to walk away from her in the 1st place. Instead he withholds information about what Jamie did to make it so Jamie dies at the most useful place and time for Bran. 4. Bran tells Tyrion he doesn't have wants anymore as a way to see if he can pull a fast one on Tyrion. This is after Bran went magical internet shopping through centuries to find a better chair design than the one Tyrion gave him for free. That is the action of someone that still has wants. Thus Bran was testing his ability to lie to and manipulate Tyrion.
I thought it was pretty obvious bran was no longer bran bran is now the 3 eyed crow imao if what u say is right then bran has been possessed by blood raven And isn’t blood raven a blackfyre so yeh fuck the targs lol
@@chrischero1871 I agree the writing was inept. And I already admitted the evidence for "evil Bran theory" may exist simply because of how inept D and D are. That said it is in the season 8 that aired.. so if people take season 8 seriously then that too. Though I think there is a good argument to not take season 8 seriously. An irony is that earlier seasons encouraged people to pay attention. Doing just that helps find the evidence for "evil Bran theory" in season 8.
@@pplr1 There is no point trying to understand anything past season 5. None of these characters would have ended up where they did in s8 except for Dany (of course D&D made her emphatic and kind which doesnt make any sense to her conclusion). Sadly the books is all we have
Loved to see my man Beyond 🤙🏾 Also Euron is more scary than scary it’s insane how the description of what he does feels like tentacles crawling under your skin. Love the content as always 👏🏾👏🏾
Especially in the forsaken chapter. How he left his own brother in a cell, cut out his tongue, and tied him to the front of a ship for some twisted ritual. The Crow’s eye really needed to be more like his book counterpart. But I guess even game of thrones had their limit concerning how they were willing to go
@@tgiacin435 it's more like they didn't know what to do with a character such as euron he represents the more magical aspect of the story that they didn't care about just look what hapened to bran and the others so they just turned him into this weirdo who just wants to sleep with cersei unstead of the monster who wants to acheive goodhood
@@tgiacin435 grrm needs to finish the books first because what's the point of an other adaptation if we have no ending but they can work on some prequels taking place in essos like the doom of valyria or yiti
I’m not so sure Euron only starts drinking Shade of the Evening AFTER capturing one of the warlocks. Way back at The King’s Moot he was described as having lips so blue they appeared black... he also had wizards as part of the crew on the Silence. Leaving out the gear Euron acquires from Valyria, as described in one of the Damphair’s teaser chapter for Winds of Winter, is probably the piece of evidence that cements him as one of the most overpowered characters in the series. I was waiting for the Waif and the Kindly Man who use blood magic as the Faceless Men, when you can continue to change faces and somehow acquire memories from the person’s life you’re up there with Moqorro.
These are 3 that you missed out. Bran the builder: he built the Wall, Winterfell, Ruinestone (possibly), Storm's End and Old Town using technology from 8000 years ago and all within his lifetime. Blood raven: possibly the greatest spy master in all of history. He ruled the shadows of Kings Landing with an iron fist of tyranny and was the biggest reason why Daeron won his war against the Blackfyres. Now since he has honed his Greensight over decades, he has become almost omniscient. Aegon the Conquerer: need I say more.
Bran the builder is probably multiple lords put toghether as one, dude couldn't have built in all the continent such massive thing and some timeline doesn't fit for him being only one guy
Book Euron is that character that has been playing for so long, is level 98, has all the legendary armors and weapons upgraded to max level, has all skills at 100, but then got bored and started using mods and doing evil stuff just for the sake of it
If you had asked me after season 4 how long would it take to defeat the white walkers after they breached the wall I would have said at least half a ten episode season. Didn’t realize it would be 1/6th of a 6 episode season
I think it is about time someone explained this to you: No, your eldest brother (and his son, your nephew) was born to rule. Had there been no Rebellion, you would have been, at best, fifth in line to that throne. In reality, by the time you were born, another conqueror had acquired it and been crowned (and you still had a brother with a stronger claim anyway). (A conqueror who, as a male Targaryen descendant and probably next in line after you, plausibly may have won another Great Council over you - the Westerosi nobility does seem determined to avoid a queen...) Admit it, you were as born to rule as the previous Daenerys.
@@edwinsoto6932 someone with a brain should explain to u now .jon is a bastard and raegar was never king .it goes to king's children .reagar was married to elia martell with 2 kids .why do u think he did a secret marriage with lyanna ? cuz it was fake he fooled lyanna .
1:15 "Some say he was a Bolton" Old nan would always end "Some say a Magnar out of Skagos, some say Umber, Flint or Norrey. Some would have you think he was a Woodfoot, from them who ruled bear island before the ironmen came. He never was. He was a Stark, the brother of the man who brought him down, he was a Stark of Winterfell, and who can say, mayhaps his name was Brandon. Mayhaps he slept in this vey bed in this very room..."
I feel like euron is going to pull down the hightower with a massive kraken which he summons and controlls with blood magic powered by a huge sacrifice of iron born and old Town soldiers. (This isn't my original idea, I got it from a fanfiction called dragons of ice and fire on ao3)
Can you do a video about characters that are physically weaker in the books?. A character that comes to mind is Jon Snow, because in the show he's portrayed as a master swordsman but in the books he is only an average swordsman.
@@helenrose5383 jon and ned are weaker in books. But come on show did jaime dirty. The show tried to portray him as someone who isnt as good as he thinks he is, while in the books he is every bit as great a swordsman as people think he is. Also bronn is a character thats weaker in books, show literally made him invincible with infinite plot armour
@@arul7467 Yup Jaime's reputation/ brilliance is not translated well, while Bronn was made into a greater character than he was in the books or than he needed to be!
I feel like an anime or even manga adaptation of GoT/ASOIF would be amazing. Maybe the same western studio that did work on the Castlevania anime would work out great. The Japanese style & (weeb) tendencies thrown in might mess with the feel of ASOIF too much.
I think Game of Thrones is too gritty and realistic to work in anime form. I think Malaz could work too; it has the darkness of Game of Thrones but is also over the top in a cool way typical of anime.
@@nicolaemadalinboboc6704 I slightly agree with you, but I feel its possible, they just couldn't not make any cute moments, funny moments, but no real cute moment
@@keyurborad0076 There power has been waning for millenia, even (relatively) shortly after breaking the Arm of Dorne they were unsuccessful in breaking Westeros, merely creating swamps in what is called the Neck.
ah, can you imagine Bran becoming like that skin changer having awesome animals following him around and probably using all kinds of animals in the fight against the undead? now that would have been awesome and made bran actually usefull.
@@barakovdlich6203 you might be right 😖 I do think we'll eventually get Winds, but 'A Dream of Spring' is just that, a dream. And seeing as Togashi recently released a generic ending for Hunter Hunter ...just in case... the conclusion of that series seems highly doubtful, as well 😭
Euron makes Jofferey and Bolton's bastard Ramsey look tame. his black Valyrian armour and dragon horn are just the tip of the iceberg, he is just a menace through and through.
Dragon Horns sound like massive ex machinas, I see why it's important (and would honestly probably be better than how Rhegal died) kinda glad it got cut.
I remember when I was young to I used to think that I was right about absolutely everything I thought until I got older and then look back and realize how purely ignorant I was it is absolutely embarrassing I wish I could spare people I know that are growing up from doing that but just like I was when I was younger it's hard to get through to a thick-skulled young person that feels like they know everything and refuse to be corrected maybe you're not that way and you won't just see me as some idiot running off at the mouth maybe I'm trying to help you a little bit save you some embarrassment
By the end of the books the skinchanging in the remaining stark kids will be so important bran rickon and jon will be able to control multiple animals at once by the dream of spring book i think rickon will do something heroic and stupid and sacrifice himself to save someone maybe bran jon or osha
The downfall of an adaptation is all the cutting down of characters and subplots. For GOT, the subplots help make the story so interesting. Another case of "What if" or maybe "If Only" HBO could have passed the production on to others when Ben & Benikoff grew tired of the series.
This is unrelated but I was watching GOT final ep. The Iron Throne - and at 3:14 Tyrion looks to his side and sees a soldier in all black covering his face. Then I was thinking of Sandor's eyes that were gouged by his brother before they fell... What if he surviver the fall.
I wish they would have just put in all the sub plots and kept as true to the books as possible. You could have gotten like 13 seasons out of it and just maybe at least winds would have come out. But maybe not
The idea of making a 1:1 book to show adaptation is just unreasonable, due to production costs, plot issues etc. The books are there for those seeking the true story as written by the author, the show is there to bring some of what has been written to life, which it did a great job of doing. If you love the shows, read the books. Hopefully we will get the last two written by GRRM.
I hate that they fight the zombies with dragon glass when dragon glass is fragile and would break against anything the zombies are wearing. On the show
