Re: Dead ball play #3 Calling official shouldnt leave his partner to report the foul until they are both absolutely sure that all the embellishment and foolishness stops and everyone disperses. He turned his back to a potentially volatile situation. At the very least, that flopping & demonstrative actions have to be addressed

Some officials or many official seem to hate calling charges. Clip one was an easy call and it wasn’t a block. Defense needs to be rewarded for taking charges. I know some guys that just won’t ever call a charge. Block block block. I guess they love beating their hips. If you look at the trail he knows it’s a block as he starts heading the other way. Wow.

Indeed. Trail thought we were shipping it.

The block call at about 16:00 is astonishing. This guy should not be in playoffs if he can’t make such a simple text book call. Maybe he thought he was airborn that’s the only explanation but to me it was that close. That is a textbook offensive foul. Good job coach !! Great restraint. This is a pet peeve of mine when officials can’t give charging calls out everything’s a block wow.

Fair. As officials, we sometimes get plays wrong. This show is all about analyzing the things that may lead us to get plays wrong.

1:35 Play One: should have called the hand check before the contact.

If Play 5 is block which I agree then I can't follow Play 1 as PCF as it seems the secondary starts falling BEFORE contact. I do agree that we should get the 1st found which was on primary defender, red 30. Also the coach NEEDS addressed. Frankly, a technical is justified here, but we dont even get a stop sign or warning. I'm open for further discussion.

He said Play 5 was not a block, with which I agree. As for the coach, I would have said, "Coach, that's enough," and then T'ed if he continued.

Steve Remember that though 0:00 on the clock the sound of the horn ends the game and depending on the site you have to be aware of what is the delay between clock and horn...

Good point. Not all clocks show decimal points, so there may be a decimal of time remaining even though the clock shows 0:00. As for what officially ends the game, its the Red LED Light first, by rule because light travels faster then sound, then if there is no LED light it defaults to the sound of the horn next.

Play 1: To obtain LGP a defensive player (DP) must have two feet on the court, and his torso must be facing the offensive player (OP). DP had LGP before OP picked up the dribble, so it is not a blocking foul. I don't see DP's knee making contact with OP at the time he "sits." I think DP displaced himself and no foul should be called.

9:40 Play Three: flagrant technical on Red 15 for kicking. Could we also get White 23 for embellishing?

Looking at the half court heave at the end of the video, the ball was clearly in her hands with 0:00 left on the clock. Hard to catch that live in the video and in the slow-motion replay (would be nice to have video to review the shot). Heck of a shot! But, no basked based on the clock being at 0:00 and the ball still in her hands.

Don't make the mistake of looking at the bug on the bottom of the screen and that's almost always going to be inaccurate look at the clock on the court and the lights on the backboard that shot was clearly released in time fantastic play

Play 5 is an obvious PC foul, however I do believe the ballhandler was fouled by the primary defender first. 2 missed calls on this play. Coach Rebibo is my guy! I ref him all the time, he's a good guy. Don't blame him at all for being upset on this play!! But this play is a great example of knowing which defender you have, and for the Trail to stay engaged all the way in.

His player was there & took it. Can't blame coach on that one.

Play 2: White must play soccer. It's odd that you can have an intentional dead ball foul (the trip) and then faking a foul by the player who was fouled, but that's what happened here.
