Premiere Scene's Rachel Mullins and Anthony Bueno had no problem making it to the finishing line when they attended the Great British Premiere of Chariots of Fire. Join us as we Interview the winning team including director Hugh Hudson, cast members Ben Cross (Harold Abrahams) Nigel Havers (Lord Andrew Lindsay) and Alice Krige (Sybil Gordon) as they share with us how they hope the film's re-release will help rekindle the Olympic spirit. We also uncover how a well written script about people, compassion and standing by your beliefs makes this movie's content as current today as it did thirty years ago.

I'm not British, but this film I watch from start to finish easily 2 or 3 times a year especially when things aren't going well for me. I'm pretty sure there are many like me. This film transends generations & people from all works of life who love the Olympic games especially the history of it. I got to see actor Nigel Havers do a The Real Chariots of Fire where he went to the stadium, went to the school, even spoke to the daughters of Abrahams & Liddle. This film is a great reminder, that the hard work is a byproduct of success. You can have all the dreams you want, but if you don't work & remain focused on the end result & do the process to get there, then you don't even give yourself even a chance.

Was saddened to hear about Ben Cross passing. Along with Ian Charleson their acting was superb. First saw Chariots of Fire in 1981 and have seen it many times since. Best movie ever .....

Absolutely one of the most inspirational films of all time. Harold was my hero. Being an American Mexican, not only did I have to assimilate seamlessly, but also strove to beat down any challenge to my mental, physical and spiritual superiority, by the ruling class, racists or religious majority.

I love this movie now as much as I did when I first saw it in 1982. The story was awesome and the acting was off the charts. I'm just sad to hear so many of the actors have passed on. RIP.

Excellent film. The message conveyed to me was that some people are born with certain natural gifts, while others must strive to achieve their personal success. Much like Mozart was endowed with supreme musical composition abilty whilst Salieri strove to a achieve similar recognition in the movie Amadaeus. He along with many other future composers failed on the scale of a Mozart. Salieri astoundingly comprehends Mozarts natural gift when he examines Mozarts original musical scores that bear no evidence of corrections! Natural gifts are God given. We other mortals are less fortunate.

Ben Cross and Ian Charleston are ethereal in this beautiful story. Strange thing to say (perhaps). They both have the most expressive brown eyes that convey where their strength and determination comes from. BC’s character defiance, anger confronting prejudice - IC’s character - peace, calm confident assurance in his faith. The movie is enduring and shows these young men in their beautiful zenith. I felt IC’s determination that the cause of his death be made public shows the character of the man. No wonder there is a prestigious acting award named after him. I felt the person being interviewed here started the interview slightly aloof and disinterested. Perhaps it was the 100th he had given.

My dad lost his eye in battle. He was operated on by one of the guys in this film, Arthur Porritt. My dad woke up after the operations, and Arthur told my dad the news, that the world was at war. The date of dad's operation was December 7th, 1941, the very day WW2 started.

Does Dennis Christopher have a single line in the movie? I can't remember him saying anything, he simply appears as Charley Paddock at the Olympics...I remember Brad Davis speaking a few lines...

This movie is as much relevant to the current times as when it was first released in 1980s and the time it depicts and is based upon the 1920s world with prejudices and intolerance.

It's without a doubt the best movie I have seen. The last time I watched it was at a friend's house in Hannover Germany. My friend and his wife ( German) wanted to turn it off , as they found it , in their own words boring. There you go , typical Reaction from a very envious folk. They find us and anything we do fascinating, But on the other hand hate us. 😂

30 years after "Chariots of Fire" first appeared, it's remains all too prevalent to honour the man (Eric Liddell) more than his God. Without his Creator, there is no heaven and earth. Without his Creator, there is no Eric Liddell to inspire the movie. Without God, there'll be no movie audience. God be praised!

Great film but this video is pretty dull stuff. Far too many worthy questions and answers about messages and meanings. Hugh Hudson comes across with all the passion of a Bird and Fortune civil servant. Colin Welland would have written something far better.
