Nice avenue for further research. Perhaps part of our modern, universal concept of love is in the air during this period, as it seems to appear in Neoplatonism as well, just as Christianity is on the rise. Probably different cultures conceive it a bit differently, but there are continuous elements going back to the immemorial.
