What a privilege to have been in the audience to listen to these brilliant artists-musicians yesterday evening at the North West University's Conservatory in Potchefstroom. Wêreldklas! Baie dankie.
This percussion pair of the Conga/Tumba drums with its accompanying cylindrical shaker was perfectly executed being the 'Soul' of this popular Bossa Nova song 'The Girl/Boy From Ipanema'. Hope I identify above percussion instruments correctly. The mastery fingering movements of the piano keys is so far one of the best improvisations of above lively song that I have heard and seen. The beautiful fingering piano movements had done full justice to the brillant composer of above song Antonio Carlos Jobim. The violin/viola, bass and the guitar were too perfectly rhymed and skillfully played. I truly enjoyed seeing and hearing this RU-vid video everytime I am on the internet using my mobile or laptop. By the way this video was well shot especially the dim lighting in the background. Cheers. I love this piece of wonderful music ❤
Absolutely stunning rendition. Why did I never hear about you when I lived in ZA? I would have followed you all over the country to see your concerts 😢😢😢😢😢 Jy's n meester.
I can't help but to come back to this video... this ought to be right up there in my three favourite jazz tracks, along with Kurt Elling's Moonlight Serenade, and Bill Evans' You Must Believe In Spring. This recording is for sure better than the original.
Beautiful!!! In my tienerjare reeds verlief geraak op Girl from Ipanema deur Herb Alpert en jy laat herleef haar so pragtig!!! Ek is alreeds 'n hele paar jaar 'n bewonderaar van jou stunning talent op die klavier! Doe zo voort!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Dis ongelooflik mooi, Charl! Die mooiste voordrag van "The Girl From Ipanema" wat ek nog gehoor het! "Thank you for the music" (Abba), and please do keep it coming! :)
@@jenniferlobel7190 I completely understand he chose the Imperial - that wonderful mellow tone is unmistekable. he shouldn`t tell his steinway sponsors, though
