As a white man, this situation was weird for me. When I saw Lavar on the herd, I thought he was rude, and I really was sympathizing with Kristine. Charlemagne expressed himself so poignantly that I had no choice but to understand how a black man sees this as dangerous and anti progressive. I do believe that she may have been totally taken off her square by his response, but her go to defense was to weaponize not only her whiteness, but her femininity. While he did a good job of reprimanding another black man and an insignificant white woman, he had a chance to confront the big fish in Hilary Clinton while she was on the show and he resulted to joking about the "super predator" stuff. While the black feminists put out fake statistics incriminating black men on their show, he and his crew didn't say anything to challenge that. While he did a good deed this time, we can salute him, but keep in mind that we must expect such honesty as all times from everyone. His legacy isn't cemented with this one deed.
Any black person who is that aware of black people's issues but still gets on a national platform and says negative things or has a chance to confront our enemy in public but results in avoiding the subject needs to be watched closely. I feel what you are saying, but I'm very weary of people who claim to have one's back until situations get tough. That's why I responded to your post; to caution black folks. There are people who still love Steven A Smith, Shaq, and Charles Barkley because they are entertaining, yet these guys have no problem throwing blacks under the bus even when they don't have to.
