Charlamagne Tha God does a complete breakdown of Kendrick Lamar's Euphoria diss track versus Drake. #charlamagnethagod #kendricklamar #drake #euphoria #podcast
nah fr though, that's how you know he just hating because there's some insane bars on here that to act like they're bad means you're not even really into rap like that
No, hes not even a geek. He doesnt understand hip hop or black american cultural idioms PLUS the man can't understand english on the level of smilies, sarcasm, syllogisms etc... the man is just there. He's filler in this show...
He looks like a grown man yet his likes his nails polished and I wouldn't want my husband with polish on his nails. He should just stick to the manicure dude is lame.
I hate it when people dismiss someone as thoughtful as Kendrick - love him or hate him, it's undeniable he's thoughtful - as having filler lines. Nope it's all setting up themes and angles.
Another example pops up with the supposed contradictions. The gun bars weren't contradictory, he was pointing hypocrisy, not saying don't talk gun bars. The friends/hate switch isn't contradictory either as Kendrick himself says it's always been about love and hate - this is an inherent conflict in the human condition. The juxtaposition is intentional. I've realised through this beef that people don't understand subtext.
For real, I probably respect his opinion THE LEAST. The whole flagrant crew either got together and decided to be dishonest or they genuinely brainwashed themselves
Yeah because Kendrick is known for his filler lines?? 🙄 haha what a stupid thing for Alex to say. He puts thought into every single thing he says. Alex doesn’t have a clue
Did you'll understand the verse, "I love them to death but in eight Bars I'll explain that phrase" 8 Bars later; " If they are not my real friends then I'm YMW Melly. BarsBarsBars.
@@southeastt5218 Joe would have been proud. I bet Joe watched it on private on his phone and said “FINALLY, that’s what I been trying to do when you was on the pod🗣️🤬FFFFFUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKK🗣️
@Matt-uk8dv you're on drakes nuts too.. drake knows he got murdered like pusha t did him. he should stick to making hit songs and club bangers and making money.
I love lyrics and I’ve never been able to listen to a drake album without thinking it’s trash. He has singles that hit but he’s never had an album u can listen too front to back. Facts
Thank you for saying what I have been saying. I still don’t understand how would one compare what’s Drakes classic album to Kendrick’s. It’s just different levels Drake has never reached. Kendrick gives us something to believe in unlike Drake.
Al said "why can't people just do them?" The problem is that's not the real Drake! He "befriends" the younger generation to steal their style, lingo, and music
The Joel Osteen line is not a screw up by Kendrick. It’s on purpose. He was sticking with the religious scheme while also flipping it to AI movie and and 6th sense. Joel Osteens middle name is Scott not Halley. Kendrick’s says Joel Halley Osteen. The actors name is Halley Joel Osment. It’s tying the two schemes together while also tying that he doesn’t know who he is battling while mixing two people up. Alex thinks these lines are fillers because he doesn’t have the capability to understand them.
That line about pray for my city is pertaining to Jay Prince junior after takeoff died, he gave condolences to the family and asked social media to pray for his city
By Kendrick’s definition (in my opinion) a “friendly fade” is a battle strictly between him and his opponent - that means they can get as ruthless as they want to with the bars as long as it’s directed towards each other; it only gets personal when someone starts dragging family members into it, which guess who did that? 👀 Alex not realizing this is kinda mad. 😂
Alex and many of these podcasters are so pro black and define blackness from a progressive perspective yet don't even understand simple black american culture idioms. 🙄 Alex is just there..
Is also how the eunuchs used to punish the concubines for the master they would whoop their feet because it wouldn’t leave any marks on the rest of their body or mar their beauty
Folks say whooping feet out west, basically mean I’ll beat the fk out of you, not literally whooping feet. He said I’m Terrance Crawford because TC is undefeated and 31 by kO, 5’8” and a welterweight, pretty much the same dimensions of Kendrick. Man is different
That Alex Guy is hating on the most impacting lines because they upset him the most. It's Sad how many men fall over themselves to humiliate themselves.
One thing they missed is that when Kdot said you don’t have a classic, what he is saying is that Drake’s classic “Take Care” is not his album. He didn’t write it.
Every time I see a Drake fan try to unpack euphoria they seem to struggle. Objectively this song is a better dis track than push ups, because Kendrick attack drakes character and Drake attack the things around kendrick. There is more depth in the insults.
Pushin T line is layered also. Meaning he pushing around P (Pharrell) let me see you Push a T (pusha T) /being rocked on a rip T (die in this rap beef)
Alex tries so hard to act black and sound down 😂 everyone forgets hes a former police officer who hangs around with comedians... there is no cred to his street 😂
We need to get beyond these stereotypes as a people. There's been many a black men, upright and honest who have served in law enforcement. They need to be celebrated. More of us need to enter that space, if we are to see the changes we want.
@ezyfnef thus beyond the point. OP is saying he's got no connection really to the rap culture like Charlemagne and I forget the females name. Nobody said anything negative about his being a former police officer it's just about he doesn't have a connection to this rap culture it seems. He hates everybody bar that Kendrick is coming up with and Kendrick is a real MC. Drake is way too commercial he is very easy to understand you don't have to use your brain for it. That's how you got to look at most of the people that hate on Kendricks songs. They're just not understanding his bars which is exactly what Charlemagne is trying to do regardless of him being a drake hater that's fine at least he's trying to really dissect what's being said in Kendrick's song
When Kendrick said lets keep it friendly, he meant professional, you can still work with someone you hate in a professional way, plenty of people do it all year around
I love how Kendrick slid back to the Prince vs Michael Jackson comparison - in MJ's "The Way You Make Me Feel" he says he loves the same pattern of "your walk, your talk, your dress"
Everything they say about me is true. Kendrick was just reminding everyone of things ppl have already said about Drake in this record. Painting the narrative of the culture vulture that he is.
I took it as Kendrick was placing himself above Drake. As if he has to look down from the cloud he’s sitting on to shoot at drake on the Earth. I think your interpretations better tho. But that’s why Kendrick has a Pulitzer Prize for writing I guess. He can say one line and everyone gonna interpret it a million different ways. Oh he’s also just clearly saying he’s more hood than Drake who has never actually had to learn how to use guns while growing up.
That daddy line is interesting cause Lucian (UMG owner), is the alleged and possible “sugar daddy” for Drake that takes care of Drake for all his actions. There’s a lot of hidden subliminal’s in there that are vague enough to be interpreted into anyone that is in relation to Drake. I think it was meant to be left this way to be thought provoking. Gives it an effective angle in his bars.
Alex wore me out 15 minutes in. I tried to ignore the bias. I hope he kept the same skeptical energy for the Drake breakdowns. Edit: Made it to minute 19, he does not keep the same energy for Drake. He's ruining this video
Drake lost me with, started from the bottom. He sung that shit like he actual started from the bottom LMAO. All I see is a voice box that raps and sings what other people write and live
He admits to not really being part of the culture, from Fear..."Don't take this the wrong way but I never cried when Pac died But I probably will when Hov does" born in 86, dude was around to witness and experience Pac.
I think kendrick was saying you can't really claim that you have a classic if you didn't write it! Imagine if Nas had help writing Illmatic or Jayz had ghost writers for Reasonable Doubt or Blueprint.
Bruh, what Dot is saying when he said “this is a friendly fade we should keep it that way “ he was talking about just keeping it between them on wax when “Drizzy“ brought Kendrick’s family in it by mentioning his wife and kids! And for Kendrick that crosses the line.. so , he had to POP OUT!!!💯the life lesson here is, “The boogie-man is real.”
he's not saying he hates drake, he's expressing certain characteristics that he hates about him, complete difference from hating sum1 vs things you don't like/hate about that person, & it's also a reference to what DMX said on the breakfast club so im beyond surprised that Charlamagne didn't mention it & make note of it.
I figured something like that. I thought Kendrick was referring himself to a sad spanking feet of his son as punishment or something haha. Your explanation makes more sense 😂
