The NIL and TRANSFER PORTAL ruined college sports! The players think they should get paid but a scholarship a full ride plus $500 to $600 a month is getting paid!!! Plus the TRANSFER PORTAL is a joke, if a player isn't winning or getting paid enough here just transfer to another college then another college when they had to sit out a year for transferring that stopped a lot of it but now they can do it with no consequences!

The colleges will never go under from paying players. Hell the Alabama football program brings is 130 million a year. So let's just say they have been doing that the last 20 years without paying the kids a dime. That is insane and the players are finally getting a very tiny piece of that pie. No college will go under and if they do it's because of mismanaging their money
College sports needs to be what they are, semi professional sports. They shouod be operated through the professional sports leagues with actual contracts. Similar to how european soccer works. Its a better model for the athletes to be able to train and compete year round, and actually get the benefits of treating their sport like the job it is.

He is the 1% and doesn't seem to know it. College's make Billions every year off of College players. The pay should be a percentage of all the money teams make divided equally between all the players. College's also get a tax exemption nobody else gets. Given the quality of a College education, what is being ruined? Take the money since most players will never see the Pros. Try playing the game without them. Charles already got paid so of course he thinks things were fine the way they were. Only for the 1%.

It's the singular conference tv deals that have ruined college sports. That's why you only have two or three viable conferences in football and basketball. So they get all the talent.
I'm really worried for the Olympic sports and those athletes. That's a lot of dreams at risk, and even more, the college education that so many if them that may not get it. Charles is spot on. There's so much the NCAA could have done to prevent this.
I agree that college players should receive compensation because they do generate millions but NIL should be capped at limit and athletes should only be allowed to enter the portal once.
