Absolutely! I'd watch every single episode his knowledge and personality and just being an overall good guy would make a great Channel. And I also think it should be very similar. Go get them charles!
I get the school thing. After leaving school I got an engineering apprenticeship and then 16 years later packed it in and went to university and studied as a nurse then spent 25 years in the NHS and retired 2 years ago with a nice pension (aged 58). Do what you want to do and ignore those that try and tell you what to do. Amen brother.

John is thoroughly annoying and I cannot stand him or his voice lol. I'm not sure what it is about that kid but I just don't like him at all. Ike is amazing and Charles is 100% the reason I started watching the channel often. Now that he is gone I'm really not interested because John tries to fill the empty spot of Charles and it makes the videos nearly unwatchable for me.

Charles, what fun & chuckles you've brought to C&C, BUT I'm pleased you are putting family & son first! I've been saying (since I was a teenager, prior to Ike being born, lol!) That "Parenting is a privilege, not a right..!". Enjoy every second, they grow far too fast (I'm getting another chance, our son now has 2 year old twin girls we get to spoil & love!). & for all the C&C content over the years (I've watched since y'all trashed Johns dads garage, lol!), its been fun, but the chuckles have kept everyone around! Thanx !
This honestly sucks. I get he’s got a family and a future, And his own path to follow, But damn I really hate to see Charles leave. He’s a great addition and idk that anyone could’ve walked into the shop and made the impact he did. This really is so bitter sweet
I have enjoyed your channel before charles, with Charles and have since since he departed. Charles was a great addition to the crew. I 110% understand his reason for leaving. Im 39yrs old and what you guys do/build reminds me of my childhood to a degree. We were poor, but I didnt know. My grandpa bought me a clapped out yardcart and I had never worked on or even ridden any piece of equipment when I was maybe 8. He and I worked on that thing in his shop when time allowed over like 5 months.. me sometimes staying late in those winter nights alone fingers freezing off(no heat/air) shop then riding my bike home. I had no idea what I was doing other than what he told me to do and explained. I swear I would be thinking to myself a lot of times(“meh, it’ll be fine”) We got it rattlecanned painted(Ike) and fixed up enough to what I thought was new and soo bada$$. He dropped it off at my parents house and I ripped on that thing till I broke the trottle cable the same day/night. I was so heartbroken because I didnt want to tell him I broke it and also I didnt know what I had broken. About 2weeks later he comes by after church and I came in from yardwork.. he was like” why arent you out their tearing up the yard”? So I told him I broke it and he started laughing and I was soo confused. I drug it out from under the tarp I maybe took off the neighbors firewood stack.. he was like oh you just broke the trottle cable.. so he goes to his Buick, and I swear he fixed it with needle nost pliers, some washers, and the old man knife. Then kids in my neighborhood who were much older and they got the 3wheelers and big wheel dirtbikes Ive seen on ya’lls channels and they’d let me tag along but they always leave me in the dust never to wait up. So then just like you guys do.. I wanted to make it go faster!! Didnt know about the governer(I think it was a 5hp or less Briggs and stratton). Well following my neighbors advice(he worked on motorcycles) on his free time. I took the govn. Off and in the woods there was this long straight like on yalls hot lap.. Had that thing full bore then boom!! Muffler explodes and no more running engine. I pulled that string till my hands bleed and blistered then walked it all the way home crying. Covered it and it sat for quite sometime since He was diagnosed with cancer shortly after and I had no money nor idea what I did or needed to do to fix it if it could even be fixed. 1yr later my neighbor comes by as Im cutting the grass and asked me about it and I told him what happened. He helped me with a new old motor and faster. Ran that cart into the ground, it was so much fun. Then when I was around 13 I got a bday present(didnt ever ask for it or anything for that matter) I got the dreaded clapped out Honda you guys have now. I still have the scars (looks like skin graft) from kicking that thing soo many times oraying it would crank. I wish I had youtube or was smarter at that time, but I recently saw the same issues and defeat in your eyes as I did. One min it would be fine and I be hauling over jumps in the woods.. next min it putter around or shut off and not crank again. Id be so mad and have to walk it back and Id tell myself Im over it and let it sit for a week or month sometimes, but Id have that thought sometimes “well maybe it’ll crank today” and sure enough it crank and be fine then same issues. My mom evetually sold it when I left for college. I always wanted to race go carts but figured you needed money and to be a little guy. I was a big fat kid. I saw the recent track day and got the info so maybe I can finally get to kinda do that. Sorry for the Novel but appreciate all your videos and esp the Ducartii.

I've been watching your channel for ages but somehow i never knew you guys did a podcast also, i also had no idaea Charles was leaving and I'm kinda devastated, all the best to Charles hope he makes regular appearances.
My friend's son in law was a wrench turner for an HD dealership in KY. Smart kid. He had a shot at service MGR he filled the spot got a $3000 bonus and was offered the position permanent. His "wife" had a fit yelled at him for going to school to turn wrenches and throwing it away for a different job. (making over a hundred grand a year with commissions and full benefits). He quit that day and is back at another dealership making $16.00 an hour turning wrenches. Don't be him.

I think you're missing an opportunity letting Charles go. He could live close to his family and still create content for the show in his new location. Kind of seems sad he'll be going back to a 9:00 to 5:00. He's such a good personality for the show and loved buy everyone.

Thinking about the diesel-powered go-kart idea... You may want to try making a manually adjusted CVT, rather than centrifugal... A manual CVT might be fun to try, anyway???
if your decision was because of pressure from a woman to get a different job. Get a new woman not a new job. Giving up this to turn wrenches for someone else is a step down not up, I would hate for this to be a really bad decision for your future. Good luck at any rate.
This was somewhat my first thought. Not the woman part but the leaving and going back to the other place. We dont know all the behind the scenes stuff but on the surface doesn't sound like any bad blood. But I have a feeling He'll be back because a yt shop job seems much much better the a real shop job. Especially when you don't have to edit😂 I dunno maybe being on camera is stressful🤷🏾♂️
@@akllls617 MUUUUUUCCHHH different. They do fun shit at C&C. 99% of other shop jobs is making customers happy and dealing with customers BS. On YT they are just making videos.
21:06 yall mention go cart motors in cars yeah its been done before quite a few times but no one youtube has ever done an automobile to go cart full drivetrain conversion i know weight would be a big factor but i think a t bucket would be small enough and light enough that yall would still be able to get some decent speed out of it also it would be a fairly cheap as fiberglass t bucket body and after market frame is really cheap like under 2 grand shipped to your door then so im thinking potentially six videos to build and then yall would have one heck of a promotional item to display at shows or even promote the channel in parades and such just an idea if yall see this please take it into consideration
When I got caught out about town on my mini bike as a kid my dad would just act real angry and I'd act real sorry when the cops brought me home. Then I'd be riding again the next day lol.
Definitely an akward distance noticed, unfortunately differences in characters happen , and what was thought was a good click was actually not, i noticed in the early episodes between Isaac and charles.
stopped watching a year or so back because the build were all just Go power sport sponsor builds and I'm not sponsored so it became very expensive. Charles was one of the only reason i still watched you all. This sucks.
