As a young kid I did a lot of stupid things like that I regret now thankfully I never got caught now that I'm older I see how stupid it was hopefully you got the only one coming in there
Man I'm sorry to see that happened to you, most criminals would just see money from scrap iron but us car guys know that things like those muncies hold so much more value than what they're made of. I hope you get justice
I'm 71 yrs old, BUT Strong & I will Help you move your stuff back 2 where you need it.. NO CHARGE, MY BROTHER....Much Love from The Republic For Eastern North Carolina... P/S...I'll come help You This weekend my Brother...
Those Muncie trans are worth around 2 grand a piece... the cast iron glide is only worth something to someone who's trying to make a matching car ...but in any case that's so bad for someone to steal from you
Add in the vandalized windows and grilles you can no longer buy new along with the value of those transmissions and the price goes up. There is an agricultural institute in my area that owns most of the land up in the flat-rock with a 100+ year old cabin on it they used for teaching students in the past. About 7 or 8 years ago someone smashed the picture window out of it to steal a desk that wasn't worth anything. The glass they smashed to steal the desk was worth far more money than the junk they were trying to steal. Morons like that are why we're slowly losing places to ride atv's and dirt bikes in my area.
Speaking from experience, there is unfortunately only one way to stop this kind of theft. You have to get rid of some stuff. Thats not what you want to hear but it's far better than letting it get stolen or turn to dust.
Ike, I hate to hear that. It sucks when your stuff is stolen. I have had my property stolen as well from a storage facility. I never got anything returned. I hope that you can recover from it.
I'm sorry that happened to you. You're the type of guy that will help anyone who asks you. They took advantage of your kindness ❤ keep your head up and keep going
Wow, that sucks brother, press charges to the fullest. I had the radio stolen out of my 84 Dodge Daytona turbo Z, and it wasn't that the radio was gone that ticked me off that much, it was the fact that they demolished the dashboard to get it out..... I also was a soundman for a band one time, (using some of my own equipment), and then they broke up, and never gave me any of my equipment back, never to hear from any of them again. About $2500 dollars worth of stuff.
Good luck! I hope you get justice out of the sheriff department. If it’s anything like Arkansas and garland county they just get a pay on the wrist and we have a revolving door on the jail.
I feel your pain Ike. I've been stolen from too. My advice is to stay on those officers. It's a no big deal, petty crime to them. They've got better things to do. That's what happened to me. I stayed on them, calling them and emailing them, and finally wrote a letter to the court. FINALLY they re-arrested the thief that they let go....once I told them exactly where he was gonna be, and when he'd be there. He went to jail.
I think you should try to organize what you got there and store away all your good stuff. I see a lot of high dollar parts lying around in the vid and there is no reason to just let all that lay out there for criminals to grab and flip. I think it would make some good videos to see. I bet the people at the scrap yard kept your transmissions. I know people who work at scrap yards and they are always bringing stuff home people unfortunately try to scrap. I would love to see some videos of you rescuing your stuff from the woods. Maybe you could clean the woods up and make a go kart track.
Damn that sucks man. I hope it doesn't happen again. In the meantime, cheer yourself up and build a railkart for those railroad tracks. Hoping to make it out to a mini mayhem in the near future. All the best
Man I hate to here that I had a b&m blower get stolen out of my 75 Chevy Montecarlo and I had moved it down the hill to get to a parts car and the intake and carbs all brand new and they filled a brand new engine full of dirt and rocks sorry about your classic car stuff getting stolen at least you know who stole it I never found out who got mine
He most likely sold it for a habitat that he couldn’t get a real job to support him self. Easier to steal someone else’s property than work a 9 to 5 job. Sorry bud it sucks. But these are the times we live in now. Report him to disability. If he can bust into your cars and haul that heavy stuff through the woods than he can get a job like everyone else and work.
You need to talk to the district attorneys office, the deputies just enforce the law the DA's bring down charges and then the deputies go get em. Call the DA and see what the grand jury process is for filling maximum charges and a complete list and dollar amount the higher the better will influence sentencing
Man that sucks , definitely alot old rare parts and cars back there of whats left . Definitely need some cameras back there to keep watch on things if something ever happens again and hopefully something good comes out of it . Werid too i have seen this place before in a video u had or someone else you knew or something i swear i have i just can't remember who had it , been a long time back
Ike i am so sorry this has happened to you .Lets hope the courts find this serious enough to slap him in jail ,and i do hope they cancel his benefits .
You know buddy, one can be on disability for having mental problems too. I know some psych patients that are strong as oxes. And some are thieves. If they go to jail for more than a year they'll lose it. But they get it back when they get out. This system sucks!
Your the only reason I watch cars and cameras. Idk but John just seems so arrogant sometimes he just gives me bad vibes. Glad to see you have your own channel I’ll definitely be checking your videos out
Put up a bunch of Michael myers props all over the yard. 😂 but yeah that sucks that happened bro. Definitely put up some trail cams and property identifiers. I had similar issue yrs ago and I bought a property and brought everything to one spot that was worth keeping. Good luck!
He owns junk, trying to get two Muncie rebuilt Trans at 2000 dollars a piece he forgot where they were! It's a thief being chased by a lieing thief! Dismissed!!
I wish you the best trying to get something done. I've had people break into my shop and steal torch air tools a/c tools thousands of dollars worth of tools. When I did some investigation into it I couldn't even get the sheriff's department to return my calls . We need common sense back in our government
I know the feeling and it sucks . I had to put out trail cams out at my yard and also had to help my good friend with recovering his vehicles . Thats right they were loading up entire vehicles and dragging them down the road. Chased his 71 impala sport coupe around Saskatchewan.
Issac you kept your temper very well! I don’t think I could have!! Get some trail cameras , it’s sad we can’t trust anyone anymore!😢 GODS BLESSINGS OUR FRIEND, 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hey Isaac in the future if you park something and you put stuff in the back take a picture of it so you know what the hell was there so you don't have to try going back to that foggy memory of all the stuff that you have
My guess is there were more than that one guy going back there. Busting windows is something kids would do. A thief isn't going to make a lot of noise and draw attention.
Thieves!!!! Hope they get multiple years. Him being released on bond is ridiculous!! Keep up the fight and have him put away. It took you years and hard work to get those cars. Hope you have a great rest of 2024! Awesome Vids.
I really hate that they always just give them a slap on the wrist for stealing. They should give them some actual time so itll make others not want to steal.
People in general suck brother! Unfortunately we have to protect our things from scumbags who have zero respect for others property!!! Hopefully you'll catch them and justice will be served my man!
Depends on the location. Where I'm at any damages/theft of $1000+ is a 3rd degree felony. Anything under that is a petite larceny misdemeanor. But since it's not a "violent" crime, and the jails are packed as it is nothing much will come out of it. Probably just a fine and probation. Used to be $250 bucks or more is a felony. But now crime is out of control these days. The justice system can't keep up with all the thievery.
It sucks I have had it done. But you really can't expect anything less. If it's something you value you need to get it close to your house or in a fence and scrap the rest.
Problem with stuff that looks abandoned is you get people who assume it is abandoned and will think it's ripe for picking, or vandalising, best thing to do is gather it all up and put it behind walls, otherwise it'll all end up being picked apart by freeloaders...
wait till he is junking all that flooded out junk to pay epa fines and them cops that he tells how to do there job starts noticing him lol he payed 20 bucks but after rusting getting flooded no oil left in it its all now in the ground water its worth thousands lol i dont like a thief or a full of pride never done with out spoiled lier he wants that guy to lose his income he said the guy is dumb worked that much for fifty bucks worth of junk hungry or drug problem wait till mr spoiled has his turn down and out what gose around comes around hopefully he repents before he knows what comes after his great pride!
Dude, it looks like it's been abandoned for decades. You don't want your stuff stolen you have to take ownership of it and your property. Not saying it's right but if a place looks abandoned and people are able to just get in there unnoticed for what looks like years and years... I mean don't be surprised when things like this happen. Clean the place up, organize your stuff ("I didn't even know I left this here" and "I haven't been here in years") and make it look like someone actually cares about it and you'll mitigate this issue.
If a tree falls in the forest and no ones there, does it make a sound?(I know.....but bare with me) If a theif steals your stuff in the forest,...and you can't remember what it was.....Did you really loose anything? Don't feel too bad. You're like a lot of us. I have so much, I can't remember if I sold it, gave it away, moved it to another location, loaned it to my kid or someone stole it. I guess it's the price we pay for being prosperous.
I shouldn't have to remember what I had, to somehow justify someone POS from taking it. That's exactly the attitude someone who would steal would have.
@@garyhull5617 It's not whatever ... Your parents failed you if you think it can be justified to take some else's property, just because you "think" it's "abandoned" or that person forgot they owned it. There no excuse you can make for it...
I'll put money down that it's more people doing it than just the one guy that got caught! Teenagers probably found it, and used it for parts for their own vehicles.
thats really crap getting your stuff damaged and stolen, but everyone of those cars look like they were dumped in the woods, i can see why someone would think they are fair game, if they have value to you, perhaps move them closer to your house and fence them off?
To be honest if I stumbled across that lot I wouldn’t even believe it belongs to anybody any more or they just died! It looks like it’s been there for many many years and just abandoned by some old timer! ( man oh man you’ve got some serious land) 😊👍🏻
I was thinking that maybe the old guy is destitute, saw all this really old stuff in the woods that appears to be abandoned… thought he could make a few bucks. Doesn’t seem like a heinous crime.. I’m not justifying it in any way but he doesn’t sound like a dangerous desperado…. Maybe the broken windows were done by kids… seems more like that? Sorry for the frustration Ike!!
Not justifying it, but that was my whole thought the entire time. Someone thought they found a bunch of scrap in the woods. Probably from the tracks. I mean, at least put it behind a fence or put some clear signage up! Again, DOESN'T MAKE IT RIGHT... but might've prevented it.
We don't live in a world where honesty and respecting others property is taught by parents any more ! Your property was wide open and unsecured out in the woods this guy figured he would never get caught and he will most likely get a slap on the wrist [if that] and it'll be done! Sorry bud but this is the world we live in now !! You may want to go and take an inventory and remove the valuable stuff that's left and store it in a safer place !!
It might not like my comment but regardless of the situation, if the place looks abandoned and nobody's been around. It's a free-for-all even though you own the property. I had stuff stolen off of property that my family owned but it looked abandoned so people just helped themselves.
@@jimsmirh2406 just be nice if people would clean up the world instead of trashing it. You probably got vehicles laying around leaking oil into the ground too that’s why you don’t care.
Wow man I am so sorry that crap happened. Can't stand a thief. Some people.. it doesn't matter where it's at, or what it is, if it's not yours, no touchy.
Walk your properties with the video camera and describe everything you see. That way, if it happens again, you can go back to the video and figure out what is missing. My bet is that unless they find the items with the guy, he won't be charged with the theft, just the trespassing.
Make a price list of every missing and destroyed item and the guy will have to pay you restitution make the list big if you want him to pay for what he has done
Think about it there's different types of disabilities just because the guy is on disability doesn't mean he's physically disabled he could be mentally disabled which probably sounds like more what it is
@@isaacitllbefine7231 I'm not making excuses for the guy at all what he done was absolutely wrong I was just stating that there's different types of disability that was all
@@MrATOMBOMB420 if you're out stealing stuff like this you're not disabled..if you were mentally disabled you wouldn't have enough smarts to know what to steal for the best scrap price and if you were physically disabled you couldn't carry it..dude needs his check yanked ..
It’s sucks because it’s your stuff, but you have more stuff than the average person has and lots of it was given to you. You’re like my uncle he had so much junk and he was going to use it all and worry about his stuff, well he is dead now and all his stuff was sold or junk. Don’t worry about it .😂😂😂😂
Feel your heartbreak and frustration. No excuse for stealing, even if he thought it was scrap (which he obviously did) . BUT, we live in 2024 and the world is not what it use to be. You must secure properly anything of value in a locked shed etc. Hard lesson to learn, but now is the time to go through all your junk yards etc., remove and securely store anything of value to you and scrap the rest. Huge job, but if you don't do it, somebody else will or it will rust away to nothing anyway. Again, not defending the thieves in any way, and I totally understand how you feel. Had my business broken into and cleaned out 3 times in 2 weeks many years ago. Heartbreaking and sent me to the wall. Do it now.
You keep saying disability but i think you don't understand MENTAL DISABILITIES are a thing too. Also maybe don't leave your crap in an abandoned field.
I dunno man, a bunch of cars rotting away in an overgrown area next to some train tracks. Didn't see any signage saying to keep out, fencing, let alone maintenance to the area. Obviously it's so overgrown that you don't even know what you have out there. It's just a bit hard to feel sorry for ya on that one. Guy got away with a few hundred bucks worth of scrap if he's lucky, and I'm guessing that's how the courts will treat it.
If it doesn’t belong to you keep your fukkin hands off of it! The fact that there are cars on the on kept, overgrown, property shouldn’t give the person a clue that it belongs to somebody and he should be there. You may think that a powerglide, and two Muncie trannys is scrap metal but I don’t feel that way and I’m sure Isaac doesn’t feel that way.
a random pile of rusted out junk in the middle of no were next to tracks is not a junk yard.....its a scrap pile. A junk yard has fences and signs to keep out and the stuff inside is not rusting away to nothing. take the stuff you actually care about and put it in an actual yard. Where i come from, stuff in your front hard is gone in the morning
You are right, no fence no signs so free stuff. But to be honest the same dirt bag that stole his stuff would have climbed over a fence past signs and stole it anyway. You are either a thief or you are not.
I also inherited a very similar piece of property a few years back, wouldn't ya know it, it started getting "picked" by metal theives. I ended up getting everything i wanted moved out, and sold all the rest to a legitimate scrap metal guy. Took a dozer afterwards snd cleaned the place up. it gave me piece of mind. I understand your pain. Good luck getting justice.
You should've gathered all your needed parts for that Chevy project.(that's taking forever by the way). Being the 3rd generation of that Junkyard. It's on you to maintain its security. Looking at the property it looks abandoned and open to pillaging. Lesson learned Ike
I had my whole trailer stolen bk end off July. They took my 20ft trailer and my 2 tractor right in broad day light on a bussy road. We're I am the cops are giving me the run around and my local service office. I think it a inside job.
You do have a point my friend? The way he has the stuff all scattered around it does kind of look like it's just abandoned their maybe if he cleaned the area up and straightened it up they wouldn't think it's abandoned.
Issac, when I lived in Des Plains Illinois my truck was shot at by a kid. The cops caught him, charged him with unlawful discharge of a firearm, and let him go. I was never compensated for the damage to my truck, and without knowing who the kid was, I couldn't sue him. That's Illinois for you.
Trying to think what they took well to the looks of it its all rusted junk your just letting just away lol any ways scrap that stuff 😂😂😂 looks like junk
Why oh why do you keep expensive shit in the woods completely insecure? Where do you keep your wallet? On the front porch maybe? And you’re surprised and disappointed people take your stuff!
Clear the brush, set up some solar powered lighting, some trail cameras and some "Private property. No trespassing" signs. If the place looks like an illegal dump, and it sure does, what do you expect?
