I adored the man. So funny just talking about every day situations. He had it to an art. I had an Aunt that was the same way. As a kid my brother and I would laugh till we cried listening to her stories. Charles always reminds me of that. Another thing about him is he had the guts to be who he was in a time where wimps were cowering down to the pressures of the business. In later years he was asked how it was to "come out". He answered " when was I ever in??!!.
he is an example of a perfect guest on a talk show. its like writing itself, because he loves to tell stories. this is Johnny's show, and he hardly had to say a word, and the show never lagged or suffered. perfection!
The movie CNR is referring to is the 1932 movie Trouble in Paradise. The leading man is Herbert Marshall. CNR is correct about Kay Francis Saying "Wobbery," she also says "Wemarkable" about a minute before.
thank you for posting...I saw this 40 years ago and always remembered the story being about a Marlene Dietrich movie, and it turns out it was about Kay Francis
Ahhhhh ... it feels Current, and I'm belly lol. Thank you God for the perfect energies that make up the Comedic Personalities like CNR. They are such High Vibe Fabulous.
I just Love love love Charles Nelson Reilly he was so funny and also so down to earth… I wish she was here today also all the gang from match game are used to watch Johnny Carson every single night I loved him to these were the best of the best I don’t think we have that same quality of comedians anymore … they never used foul language and were very very funny I think the comics off today use foul language to get a laugh here’s an example of true talent hope you’re having fun in heaven 😍🥰😜
Hes wearing a toupee, In case you didnt know,, on an episode of match game he took it off and put it on a bald contestant, was one of the funniest things I've ever seen
I think CNR was one of the most talented performers . I enjoy his guest appearances on the Tonight Show ( Johnny Carson ). His stories were great. He captivated the audience. I miss him.
The stories were NEVER stupid but they always WERE entertaining and they might’ve been a little bit long, but so what ? All the better . Rest In Peace, Charles Nelson Reilly⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️
