It’s a simple process! I won my own case back in 2015 and I represented myself. I was fired unjustly due to attendance. Long story short, there was another employee whose attendance was worse then mine but happen to have a personal relationship with the management outside of work and they were all of the same ethnicity; which was not the same as mine. I went to EEOC in my city and snitched by filing a case. I was in mediation and settlement within about a month after being terminated. I got paid after being fired and would have gotten more if I had a lawyer but they weren’t needed. If you go to EEOC first time you have an issue with your employer, you’ll have a stronger case is facts. I had another company I was wrongfully terminated from and at the time I didn’t know the process so I was railroaded when I filed my case. Know your rights and the law, stand on your square. @@treenincove1726 there’s a lot to that but in short: first I would have went straight to the eeoc when they initially wrote me up. I waited tell I was fired. I would have did a better job at keeping records of all the incidents I was involved in and witnessed. I also regret not being as aggressive as I should have been when it came to presenting my evidence to eeoc. They ultimately dismissed my case due to lack of evidence and I had plenty. Correction of these mistakes made the next time a walk in the park

My co worker assaulted me I was only getting $257 in workers comp claims every week for 7 months.. they allowed my assaulter to work there still & I did not feel comfortable so I quit , tried for an attorney and wanted to sue them but the lawyer told me since they have workers comp I couldn’t be compensated for anything else other than the $257 from workers comp… I have been jobless went through trauma, anxiety and overall just exhausted from this… I’m not sure if I can do anything else but it is what it is I could have lost everything but I’m blessed & a hustler.
Yea you could have sued them for more. Emotional distress. Never quit, always better to let them fire you! Always speak to several law firms or more, or better yet learn how to file on your own. It’s $400 and really not that hard once you under the requirements. At the very least contact the EEOC.

Quid pro quo isn’t that simple if a manager sleeps w employees but doesn’t give an advantage or favor in return it’s not quid pro quo, and there’s definitely no federal laws against a manager having a relationship with an employee unless they provide special treatment or fire them bc of it
I just had eye injury and used the station it had not bucket i guess its suppose to be at the bottom medical sent me home i came back nobody cleaned it up my supervisor told me to clean up all the water and dripping rags soaking it told me i made a mess go clean it up

I’m wondering if you can sue a corporation for firing me for leaving on my lunch break without clocking out coming back 15 mins before I’m supposed to be on the line and they write it up as job abandonment so I would be ineligible for unemployment even tho I didn’t abandon my job I actually came back from my break early and on top of that it’s making it difficult for me to get a new job because if they call them to see what happened it’s wrote up as job abandonment but that wasn’t the case.
