Yeah, this Mixtape is definitely futuristic, but there's an explanation for that. Number 1 Angel and this mixtape were mainly produced by artists from PC Music label. A. G. Cook, the owner of the label, produced 7 songs on Number 1 Angel (two of them were produced alongside EASYFUN) and in this mixtape, he was the main producer of all of the tracks, but all of them were also produced by at least one more producer. PC Music artists are known to produce really weird and futuristic music with elements that no other producer usually uses. The song Backseat was produced by A. G. Cook and EASYFUN. A. G. Cook's production are usually more chill and minimalist, but EASYFUN's production is a lot more "energized" and has more experimental elements, so maybe if only A. G. Cook produced the song, you would like it. I also know why you liked Out of My Head a lot. Putting aside the AMAZING vocals by Charli, Tove and ALMA (the last one sung the hook), A. G. Cook had some work on the track, but the producer SOPHIE did most of the production. SOPHIE is the amazing woman who produced all the of tracks from the Vroom Vroom EP and the tracks Roll with Me and Lipgloss (Lipgloss was also produced by A. G. Cook and Life Sim). SOPHIE always does an amazing production, but in this song she did like her most pop and safe production. Porsche is really amazing two, MØ is such a queen, you should check her EP When I Was Young, her album No Mythologies to Follow and also her song Night with You, since it was mainly produced by SOPHIE and it has a really interesting heavy production. Going back to the track itself, it was produced by A. G. Cook, a guy called King Henry that I never heard about and EASYFUN. A interesting fact is that EASYFUN and A. G. Cook produced the song 3AM (Pull Up) which also features MØ in Number 1 Angel. About the last track, it was really weird because it's a remix of an unreleased track called Blame It on Your Love. It's not my favorite, but it's interesting. Could you check out any of these? It's Okay to Cry or Ponyboy by SOPHIE (you'll probably like the second song better) Future Friends (the album, not the EPs) by Superfruit (three tracks were produced by PC Music artists/alias. The songs Worth It (Perfect) and Keep Me Coming were all produced by Danny L Harle, the same producer from the ILY2 on Number 1 Angel and the song Fantasy was mainly produced by SOPHIE e had minimal details by Danny L Harle again) Big Fish Theory by Vince Staples (It's a hip hop album, if you don't like this genre, just ignore it. Also the tracks Yeah Right and SAMO were produced by SOPHIE, while the producer Flume did additional production on Yeah Right, producing the part with female vocals by Kucka) Caracal by producers duo Disclosure Chamaleon EP by producers duo Grey (they did the song Crown with Camila) Queen of the Clouds (Deluxe edition, PLEASE) by Tove Lo
Samuel Souza Reading your name, I think you're brazilian and I'm too, but just to ensure you'll probably understand it..... SOPHIE is a trans woman, when she released It's Okay to Cry she revealed that. If you look at her videos and some photos from revent shows you'll notice that she's dressing herself up in a more feminine way too.
Pabllo's part translated for u: I Control everyone with my witchcraft My ass is stronger than witchery Charm, magic, provoke, vitiates I get what i want if i "twerk" like this There is no one here like me, no, no Everybody wants, yes They call me queen Everybody wants, yes
so i really do like Backseat, but i think their collab could have been even better if they made something that worked with Carly Rae Jepsen's traditional sound
yeah Pop 2 is futuristic, i rly like where Charli is going with her music😩💖; i hope to hear so much more from her, she's doing what she like, making songs with friends and having fun; that's how you make a a good pop 💙 Charli ftw
AJAY CAN YOU PLEASEEEEEE DO A VIDEO LISTING YOUR FAVORITE ALBUMS THAT YOU’VE LISTENED TO THIS YEAR? IT WOULD BE COOL TO HEAR WHAT YOUR FAVORITES ARE AND WHY
Someone probably said this alr but the mixtape having a futuristic approach was totally intentional!! That's why it's called Pop 2, a continuation of pop, the _future_ of pop, if you will
Please do Art Angels by Grimes!! I know you can't do everything, but we've been requesting for months!! Pleeeeeease 🙏🙏 it's so different, you'd love it, she wrote and produced the entire record herself
@@JuanitoArcoirisXde it's not for everyone... but who likes it likes it... that's what we call originality, when artists do songs for everyone to like they often lose their essence
What I LOVE about YOUR videos is that when I watch you react to albums Ive fallen in love with and you vibe with em it’s like you make me relive how I felt my first listen all over again. ❤️ thanks girl
In my perception of the song, the screams of Caroline represent the pain and the ache, then it is drained by tears. Finally the Pain comes out in the Outro and then it comes the bright light of peace, joy and relief
This is up there in my top Charli XCX releases along with Heartbreaks & Earthquakes (EP / Mixtape) & her True Romance album. I loved Number 1 Angel, but this is superior & I love it when an artist out-does themselves. Backseat has actually become one of my favourite tracks btw. I also love Tears & Porsche. I instantly loved Unlock It & Lucky. I'd appreciate any reactions to Charli XCX, _Brooke Candy, Cruel Youth,_ FKA twiggs, Sky Ferreira, *Alice Glass,* Crystal Castles, _Princess Nokia, Grimes, Fever Ray,_ Björk, M.I.A, _Bitty Scott, Allie X, Marina & The Diamonds, Junglepussy_ Lil' Debbie, _Iggy Azalea,_ Kesha, CRIM3S, Sleigh Bells, HEALTH & Arca.
Noooo Backseat is my second fave song on this album Ajay 😭😭 I was hoping you would like it. “I run my fingers through his hair I’m gripping at regret” like damnnn those lyrics😩😩 but my favorite song is definitely Unlock it literally one of the best electropop songs I’ve ever heard❤️
This mixtape took a bit of listening to be honest, but now I LOVE every song SO MUCH. Out of My Head was my instant fav, but Backseat, Track 10, Unlock It, Femmebot, Delicious, and Tears got up there as well!! The more I bump to Pop 2 the more I fall in love with it every time.
yassss, thank you for react to this album! the futuristic style of the album it's called 'pc music', like on her vroom vroom ep and number 1 angel album. it's super cool actually.
Came back to this after your reaction to Charli.. 10:42 i see you.. your peaked interest in Dorian Electra right there. They opened for Charli XCX at her concert near me and it was amazing. If you haven’t checked out their new album Flamboyant I would Highly recommend you do! It was amazing to watch them perform and experience their art along with Charli’s!
It took me a couple of listens to actually start enjoying Pop 2. It was new for me but I really enjoy Charli’s style and now it’s one of my favorite albums. My favorite songs off the album include I Got It, Porsche, Delicious, Lucky, Tears, and Track 10 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
