@@rezwanmirza4342 you have forgotten that Ghana had electricity before Nigeria discovered gas. The Akossombo hydro electricity does not rely on gas, which is our main source of electricity that we even supply other countries. We use the gas to power other thermal plant which the ECG IS talking about. The ECG says there will be disruption for three weeks in some areas because of their negligence . Ghana has gas they could have bought and not rely on the company in Nigeria, which they think is relatively cheaper than the Ghana gas, get it into your head. Saudi Arabia has oil reserve more than any country on the planet yet they buy Russia gas and oil because it is cheaper due to sanctions on Russia. It is simple economics.

@@rezwanmirza4342 only a dumb person thinks hydro electricity is generated by gas. If the same applies to Nigeria’s Kainji dam you should have 24/7 lights. Our Akossombo is bigger than your Kainji even with the expansion going on at Kainji it will still not reach the capacity of Akossombo. We have lights and still supply to other countries. If we decide to stop the supply today we are going to have excess of energy. Go to Ghana and see if it is a total black out as you are insinuating m.

For your information I’ve been living in Ghana since 2012 , I only relocated back to Nigeria last year and still travel to ghana every month for an unfinished business. The only time Ghana had close to 24/7 light was Attah Mills regime, he died few months after I came to Ghana. I live in Weija , very close to the west Hills Mall, since the past two weeks that I arrived in Ghana there’s no day without power failure. You can ask people who live around that area, Block Factory to be precise. This is just the same thing in Nigeria, some areas don’t experience power failure while some places are really suffering but you can’t see Nigerians coming to the internet to brag about 24/7 light just because some areas are not really having regular electricity problems. You can see now that you are the Joke and big clown !
