You interview him so well. You really let him be the intellectual and artist that he is without baiting or tricks or interrupting and I feel that he opens up to you so naturally.
You did amazing on this one with charlie!also when he talked about watching his film with his girl and how she cried through the last parts cause she knows him so well ect. It made adore her!she must be an amazing woman for him to love her so much and for them to be together for so long.they obviously know what tbeir doing relationship wise...they should give Hollywood couples advice..
Crazy how a lot of people think acing is such a glamorous occupation, yet when ever I hear the cream of the crop actors speak on their experiences, it sounds so demanding; emotionally and sometimes physically (like this one). I saw that silent sequence and thought "Oh nice makeup and good acting", then to learn he hadn't eaten in 10 days and was so depressed just blows my mind. I see why he's a leading man. Dedication.
Well obviously he didn't eat the character he played papillon was in solitary confinement and the conditions he had to endure were atrocious. Prisoners in French Guyana in confinement had their food rations halved so they were starving, Charlie is a method actor so he starved himself to be able to portray papi both mentally and physically
Seriously folks... rich, famous, smart, beautiful, talented, a great sense of humour, a heart of gold, hung like a horse and a sexy accent too! (Put a fork in me, I'm done!)
I just watched the movie and had to know what his process was. It's so good, he's so good in it. And his physical transformation, over the years that Papillon was locked up, is so jarring. I had to know how he did it. Thank you for this interview, you asked all the right questions!
I think this isn’t the first time I’ve heard Charlie talk about the intersection of the impact of his professional roles and toll on mental health. It makes sense that such heavy roles and such physically taxing roles impact your psychological state, and how far actors will go to achieve the things that are required from them. He seems pretty light about the whole thing, which is also an interesting phenomenon. Like “oh I was wrecked, glad it all worked out!” Maybe that’s a Brit mentality
Hi Kjersti! Charlie is one of my favourites as well, so glad you got to interview him again! He always seems super chilled with you, and seems to give you interview gold that no one else can coerce out of him. Looking forward to more of you and Charlie in the future! x
That's so sweet of you to say. Thank you. So happ you like my interviews with him. I really enjoy talking to him as well. Hoping there will be another opportunity again soon - so that I can share with you again.
Kjersti Flaa you're very sweet for taking the time to reply, thank you! Love your interviews, especially with Charlie, and the fact that you enjoy talking to him as well shows in the quality of the conversation you two have. I hope you'll have plenty of future opportunities to chill with Charlie and talk some more. Looking forward to it as well! Thank you for keeping it chilled and real and being who you are!
Charlie you have to take care of yourself there is a lot of people out here that loves you your family and your wife and your fans so please take it easy the acting part will always be there you work very hard so please give yourself a break you need it your a very good actor but we want you well so we can always see you on the big screen I watch every movie that your in I’m a big fan so please stay strong and heathy love you Charlie 💕👄👍
What are you talking about? Charlie takes roles that he is passionate about and wants to be able to tell that story. He knows his limits he won't unnecessarily put his health at risk
You're one of the best interviewers I've ever seen! You do such a great job and make the interviews interesting they're a joy to watch so thank you very much! :)
@@zarinshapurjee9430 No. I am not blind. It was not that obvious he lost weight in the captivity scene. Watch The Machinist. That is a real weight loss feat
