A miscasting that would lead to an entire plot thread being dropped would mean it’d have to be an actor big enough to cause such a ripple. There’s some relatively well known actors in the film but those actors are character actors and are happy to take on roles and not change anything. The only two that would manipulate things are Eric Banna and Jude Law. Since Banna is barely in the film, it’s my educated guess that Jude Law took over the film and wanted a bigger role. If I’m not mistaken he only agreed to be in Captain Marvel if they agreed to his rewrites. I think Law may have been a studio casting because none of the other actors are box office draws so the studio hired him not Ritchie. Of course this is all slanderous since there’s no confirmation.

thelonious monk No what he said was they cast someone who made them alter the script which meant a specific storyline was no longer in the film.

I'm guessing Guinevere. It might not be, but she is a pretty big character. I'm glad she wasn't in it, because I like a film that's just an action or fantasy without a romance confusing that.

@@EmreY25 no, he says that miscasting "ended up crippling the central storyline", not that the miscast actor was deleted. She fits. Her character has a weird relationship to the film and the mythology, often disappearing for long stretches.

@@lucamolta no, he said the story was cut out. Not the actor. It fits her. She was accounced as one role and ended up playing another who is notably absent for long stretches in the film.

Taylor Kitsch sucks, very bland. Charlie is actually very charismatic and charming on screen. He just gets dumb scripts.
