Arguing with liberals is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over all the pieces, shit on the board, and strut around the table looking victorious.
@@jelly7310Socialism is where everyday is sunny and warm, children chase doggies in a butterfly filled lakeside park, families eat full roast beef dinners every night and...uh...whatever crap Sean Penn says it is. Right?
We literally went from mohism to progressism, idealism, communism and socialism. They all think they are special because they put the lives of strangers ahead of their loved ones. They all cause death, starvation and havoc because they do not understand the true meaning of mohism where you are put to death if able to work and refusing it. And you don't control the production or the means of production in that type of society, only the rulers do. I really prefer realism personally. Conservatives have no idea what they are conserving, and republicans really dropped the ball with their endless support for war. I could side with capitalists up to the point where they disobay the teaching of god for profit. And don't even get me started on liberals, anargists and soveirgns. They are confused about evrything and never make coherent arguments with a few exceptions. On a sidenote I would say that Hitler and Mussolini are both left wingers in my book because of their socialist values and the fact that they wanted 100% control of production. They also used social justice to rationalise dehumanising the party they do not agree with. Have we learned from history? I guess only time can tell...
This fool is talking about taxpayer funds going toward infrastructure, but I thought the foundation of socialism was public ownership of the means of production?
The days of them claiming "that wasn't real socialism/communism" ended when they already are practicing censorship and bragging openly on twitter and campuses that anyone right of mao should be "disposed of".
That's why we can't argue with these people. While they are using the same basic words the definitions are completely different leaving us talking past each other and debate/agreement becomes impossible.
Socialism is the management, administration and distribution of the production of goods and services is controlled by representatives of the public based on common ownership... Mixed economy is the inclusion of socislism and capitalism, the right wants the social part to be limited... So saying public programmes is socialism is stupid because the creator of socialism said socialism must encompass the entirety of the market which is stupid... And this idiot professor is behaving like profit is capitalism because he doesn't know that government makes profit too, this is what revenues are...
“well police, EMT, public schools, those are all socialism” is the lie. Those are social programs NOT government. Then they hold up governments as socialism that are not, Sweden being a favorite.
When they say "I can go on" they've run out of things to go on about. It is also amazing how the party who runs off emotions always demands facts and figures.
When Obamacare went into effect, my in-laws' premiums more than QUADRUPLED. I'm still waiting for one of these liberal "geniuses" to explain how that qualifies as "affordable health care".

This guy had a mishmash of points barely relevant to one another, and just scurried from one to the other without a second's consideration of the panelists' responses.
Thats how you can tell the difference between someone who really wants to understand versus someone who just wants to be right… Charlie conceded to one of the man’s points about Obamacare, meanwhile, he did not concede to any of Charlie’s points. You see, in every debate, there will always be a valid point on each side (almost always) and if a person fails to acknowledge that, it is a sign they are willing to ignore facts for feelings. Wanting to be right, should not be the point of a debate, it should be to educate and learn.
You mean someone who wants to be left...😄. Its just another example of the left only thinking up to a certain point to satisfy their ideology/narrative but are afraid to learn more because then their argument falls apart. You can tell because they are shocked that there is an argument against them. What's sad is this person is a lecturer.

@@imonit4272 beautifully said since education is meant to text you whilst equal outcome means the school just wants all of you to be on the same arbitrary level... So what's the point of education then??? Just give everyone a certificate and call it a day... Which is why equal outcome can't even work in paradise or in utopia... It's literally impossible... Even Ai learns based on what and who they are catering to... The only things capable of equal outcome are machines with no intelligence like toasters because even nonliving things of the same type varies in minute forms like not all books or chairs even from the same company or series are the same...
One aspect of his tactic is to rapid fire without waiting for a response on almost everything he spewed out. Everytime When Kirk responded to each issue he raised, he interrupted and moved on to a new issue, Not a smart guy even though he thought he was.
This guy can regurgitate all the things we are supposed to pay for as a society without once mentioning responsibility of the individual. Of course not.
This guy is so ignorant he straight up just denies every fact 😂 I live in Canada and we have a TERRIBLE health care system. People are dying in waiting rooms because emergency departments are short doctors (literally up to 4 so there is one doctor in the emergency department) and people don't have family doctors so they flood to emergency. The wait is around 8 hours to get past the waiting room.
I live in British Columbia and since my doctor retired I am still waiting for a family physician after 2 years with no end in sight. Like everything else in Canada, thanks to Trudeau the whole health care system is broken.
You should try the NHS in the UK. It takes several days to be able to speak to a person at your local surgery. 9 x out of 10 you are fobbed off with a nurse practioner, speaking to a doctor is a rare event. if you are deemed ill enough to see a doctor it can take 2-3 weeks to wait for an appointment. The alternative is to go to your local A&E at a hospital where you can wait anything from 8 - 24 hours to see a doctor, if you are lucky and the doctors are not on strike. if they are, forget it. This is happening on a regular basis right now. 8 million people waiting for treatment on the NHS and the waiting list gets longer every day.

Definitely don’t buy into a more socialist system like Canada. Even in Alberta, a somewhat more capitalist province, all the unions and our socialist party talk about is we need more money in healthcare. We spend too much for what little we get now.
The man mentions the wall as an example of increasing the size of government, but can you imagine how fewer border agents, drug enforcement agents, public assistance personnel.... would be needed if we controlled our border? And does he expect pharmaceutical companies to invest billions to bring a drug to market and then give it away?
I've had conversations with two year olds about where why going potty in the toilet is better than in a pull up that were less frustrating than this conversation with this man.
This guy brings up five different points, and each time his argument is defeated, he "what-a-bouts" and simply can't admit he was wrong. I'm willing to bet his mind isn't even changed.
Farm subsidies are absolutely increasing government. Anytime the public sector seizes private wealth for redistributive purposes, it is an increase or maintenance of the status quo government.
It absolutely is. You need lawyers, contract specialists, accountants, and compliance auditors (just to name a few) in order to give out these grants/subsidies. These positions could be transitioned from other roles, but as the US budget has not decreased in decades, that simply isnt happening.
I am glad that Charlie and Candice educated this man. But sadly I do not think education would help when being so poorly equipped with the ability to think.
“Building a wall is Socialism”, I will give him that, every Congressional and Presidential leader that want walls typically only want it from themselves.
This guy kept jumping from one thing to another to try and catch Charlie out, but failed. Advice, don’t argue with Charlie he has a brain. Unlike the guy asking the question.
I had my first kid just before Obamacare became law. We were already subsidized and paid about $60 a month. In the end, we had to pay about $2,500 in hospital bills. Once Obamacare was passed, we were dropped from our insurance. They claimed we just needed to apply again under the healthcare market, which we did...denied. We kept applying and kept getting denied. We then had to pay a little over $900 on our taxes because we weren't insured for the entire year. I then got a job, and we had our second kid under the insurance from my job. I paid around $200 per paycheck or $400 a month for this insurance, and in the end we had to pay around $10,000 in hospital fees. I now pay around $600 a month in insurance, and it's trash. Obamacare is one of the worst things that ever happened to my family.
Every single country in the world has some sort of a barrier protecting their borders. We’re not the first and we won’t be the last, but we will be the best.
No one mentioned that the ACA REQUIRES enrollment in a medical plan. That was a huge change to the marketplace, and a major shift in the government's role in society.
“The wall” is a marketing campaign…for both sides. Nobody actually wants it built. Republicans need it unfinished so they can campaign about it. Democrats need it unfinished so they can campaign to stop it. Seriously. The amount of money and energy spent discussing “the wall” has far surpassed the next most profitable campaign tactic. War used to be the #1 campaign tool. Pro or anti…campaigning about war brought in TONS of money to politicians running elections. Now the #1 campaign tool is “the wall”. Don’t be so simple. You’re being played…by BOTH sides.
He had the unmitigated gall and arrogance to say that Obumacare was wasn’t Socialist! 🤣 Yeah you pay for your choice and into the “system” it doesn’t mean that other people aren’t subsidizing you! 🤨😉😆
They get up to ask him a question yet they say 'My question to you is' ... why say that when it's obvious why they are standing in line, to ask a question. No need to say ''my question is [ ... ], just ask the question!
I don't think this "Prof" actually understands what Socialism is. Look at his eys, he's manic. What a mess US education is in if it allows people like him to teach.
Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens should team up again and go nationwide, and even a podcast...it'll double the great numbers they both have with their own podcasts even now.. There were a formidable kick ass duo with the work they did together with Turning Point and a powerful ray of hope for common sense people out there sick of the deluded left in America and the UK
That guy just jumped about all over the place with spaghetti sound bites and did nothing but make himself sound uneducated and unwilling to see the reality from behind his blinkers.
