@@arikurniadi682 bro every singer uses a little autotune and if you've actually heard him without auto tune he sounds really good every singer uses autotune and pitch corrector and that doesn't mean there a bad singer
@@lixm_is.thebest5196 yea people dont understand the difference between autotune and a little reverb. theres literally no actually AUTO tuning in the mic, but there are other effects present (sometimes) like reverb and etc. i also think recently hes not trying to sound record accurate + his new album is way too hard to sing not just cuz its high but also bc its all composed of weird sounds that singers dont really sing in. especially, theres a first time for everything, the falsetto in light switch, and smells like me
All Charlie puth songs are not only hard to sing for everyone else but also for Charlie himself. Even he always struggle while performing with the band While he sings like an angel with his piano
I wonder if most of the singing issues are because during production he has laid his own voice over so many places that of course no one is ever supposed each and every line. I know he gets a huge kick when we all sing along with him. Just hearing thousands of people sing your own lyrics is quite a rush. I’ve heard him in other venues and he’s been much more comfortable. I think his multiple signals to turn up his voice could’ve had something to do with it. Also it seemed the balance between him and the band wasn’t not as good as I’ve heard it before. But then it could just be my own sound issues.
@@Happybidr its bc theres not really many backing vocals for the songs he can usually sing and usually in larger audiences. but not saying he needs them but he also has started going towards a different singing style thats probably more comfortable on him than doing falsettos and head voices the whole concert. he also got his tonsils removed and i swear hes sung differently since then although he can still sing just as good and probably better. also it depends on the mic too. concert mics are very different sounding than larger venued places that also have other artists perform on the same day like this one. i could talk more but i dont wanna
For y'all who came here for see 1st time a Charlie's performance: Yes. He sing in a lower key, cause your songs (especifically he last album) is high pitched af. Sing along like as he's doing at this presentation avoids vocal lumps and cracks. Plus he's not in such good health this week
He sounds fine idk why people are hating in the comment section, also he sings live which you should give him credit for since a large amount of artists lip sync.
He's Normal, He hasn't changed a bit, maybe you need to get to know him better. He's as joyful as ever but need to put in the best performance for the song settings and story. He's always doing his Best for all his Fans.
Absolutely true, I still remember the concert he wore a scarf and sag "I´m so cold... don´t talk anymore" :D I wish I could find that performance again :( Charlie you´re my musical inspiration!!!
He is completely basic. Songs without depth, which unfortunately are only serving to be successful on tiktok. I agree that some of his songs are addictive, but it seems that he doesn't know how to sell his works. He would be able to explore his voice much more in classical works, or maybe rock. This new song, "light switch", I was amazed at how shallower than a plate it is. He's young, maybe he lacks literary or musical repertoire, I don't know, but he's talented.
@@stchnard My friend said he's a way better musician than you and wouldn't even notice you walking down the street. Says you're not smart or talented enough for his music, or to be his friend for that matter.
We were at the Philly Jingle Ball concert a few days after this MSG, NYC concert. I remember thinking when he said a few days earlier he LOST his voice from being under the weather 🤧. It is AMAZING how he bounced back at our Philly concert! This guy is a musical genius with stunning vocals. The charisma and wit is a bonus! I binge watch his interviews where he gives master classes how he writes, produces, his inspirations! I’ve always liked his music. Only in recent time, I’ve researched his back story and his resume is quite impressive. He has a degree in music production engineering, studied at other renowned schools for music. In specific jazz. His inspirations to write and compose comes from various genres and eras. It is fascinating how he can break down/construct a rift or chord, and layer the song so it adds depth to a catchy song. HUGE fan!
I could have never said that better myself! You are 100% correct in everything you said. The fact that he is so humble about his Creations is amazing. That's all he knows. It makes me very happy to witness his gift! Go Charlie GO! LOVE YOU. Thank you for your jams that take us to a place where we jam! No rules, just jam! Thank you for making us smile!!!!!! That was deep but the art makes MW feel. Isn't that what this is all about? Lol
Love his reaction when his voice cracked😂 (13:24). I always laugh off when my voice cracks at high notes still Idk why people are mad It's just natural and not a big deal, singing live is very stressful and every singer changes the key of song and take frequent breaks while singing live. He still delivered an enjoyable performance...
he was sick at this day, the prove is that he sang some high notes of the songs more lower even if her voice was cracking he stills enjoying being at the stage and singing most artists doesn't feel that when they are sick in fact, such admirable artists its charile
Yes! He seems so grateful for his success by doing something that comes so natural for him! He is funny, kind of silly but is so natural all the time! I love watching him live because he not only delivers every note, HE FEELS EVERY NOTE! Impressed.❤
So if y’all rmeber he said he got sick over this jingle ball run, I believe he even cancelled Washington DC or soemthing. I think Philly. I saw him in Indianapolis over the summer and he was awesome. I will say he does sound off here
I hope he is ok .his vocal cords ARE ok. Cause Ive never seen him change the pitch of his songs before. His songs are high ,so probably is tiring. But he is Still singing great. ❤️
Charlie Puth is a musical genius! He has such a creative mind. And he has purfect pitch! He can replicate and note of music, recognize it, play on any sound. He came up with song just be hearing a lightswitch. It all clicked for him in his head immediately! I saw him talk about it. What a gift!
Interesting. I wonder why they decided to use some light autotune on his main vox at the start. It's not like the guy actually needs it because he's great. It's gone from that left and right song, but they bring it back again for the Christmas song and gone again. Maybe he needed it for his voice to warm up? Great stuff either way. You can tell he's having trouble hearing himself throughout this.
Cause there is probably a lot of effects on light switch studio version so he decided to recreate the vibe of the song in studio that’s my guess. Either ways autotune does not affect if you sound in pitch or not, you can sing crap but still have autotune and sound shit, it just puts effects on it
Charlie Puth's stage sense and ability which elicit a reaction from the crowd, his gestures are fantastic! The sweet tone and emotion of his songs prove that Charlie Puth is one of the best and most sought after musicians in the world! Particularly in the second half of [Left and Right], it is fair to say that the ensemble with the audience is truly not just a musician's performance, but a performance of fans and musicians. If I had to choose the best songs from this live, I would pick [Light Switch] and [Attention]. First [Light Switch]. Charlie Puth's unique tone really well, and the gestures he showed on the live stage were really cute. Secondly, [Attention] is one of his most famous songs, and the story that the content of the lyrics is his life story came to me really sad. And the song [See You Again] was also very good. With this kind of music arranged at the end of the live and singing while playing the piano, it was a stage that fit the title of 'splendid finish'.
Many are talking about his voice in the comment section. His natural tessitura is actually quite low. Baritone-like low especially when he's speaking. All this while, he's been singing outside of his range with all the falsettos. Here, he sings more in his chest voice and dodges many high notes indicating fatigue. I'm thinking maybe age and health have something to do with it too. I just wish that he won't develop nodules.
He just came off tour I believe…I think it’s a lot more to do with his body being exhausted then age? Also keep in mind he’s becoming more and more comfortable actually performing in crowded settings so he may have just been doing something different. He also seems a little nervous at first more so getting more and more comfortable as the set progresses
What's going on that's should be his next song......My favorite is Attention of course I'll sing the song with him.....charlie needs some egg nog with some brandy, now that we are standing face to face🎤🎶🎶🎶........🤺💓🌹 Could I be your assistant, co pilot.....The audience looks like they are having a good time with holiday spirit's, cheers to love 🥂
Charlie is such an amazing musician and singer… I would like to experience him perform live without autotune. I think it would sound more human and make him even more relatable to more people.
He’s done live videos without auto tune or a performance where there was so little of anything that there probably wasn’t even any autotune. If you want I can send links of some just reply and I’ll be happy to. I love the ones without auto tune (note: w/o any tuning, etc. he tends to sing in a lower key but he still hits high notes and can sing like the original)
