Those were the days when beauty was natural --- no facilift, no implants, etc. That's why both Jackson and Cheryl were real beauties! My childhood crushes! ❤
Crossovers were so fun. THIS IS TV - not reality LOL It's equivalent to today's collaboration, which often do not make sense (especially for the one with the kinder/respectful reputation) but their fans seem to like it. We need more show collaborations today - true fans will go crazy for it because they enjoy seeing their favorite characters in anything. HATERS or non-true fans will not enjoy any such collaboration.
The entire script (most from that era!) are cringe! Burt Convey's character just meets a girl, asks her out when he hasn't even talked to her 5 seconds yet, then he's telling her he's a thief. Charlie, on the phone, seemingly knows what's going on EXACTLY in the office at any given time, Bosley's EXTREMELY awkward dialogue about "my name is unimportant" sounds like REALLY hokey detective novels that pander to cliches, and on The Love Boat side, Isaac who has clearly never seen a bikini in his life does the old slapstick comedy routine of pouring the drink all over someone else that was dated when The Three Stooges did it, but they get a pass, because it's not meant to be taken seriously, whereas this is (allegedly) meant to be taken somewhat serious. Then, we have "undercover" people who freely and openly use their real names all the time. Even in the 19970s, a cursory background check could be done to see that you worked on the police force and now work for a private investigator. Don't even need a birthday. Run the name and you can pull up the most likely candidate. For all his money, Charlie is stupid. He couldn't afford to have ready made backgrounds for people? Fake employment? Like maybe have a different shell company set up? In 1970, you wouldn't have had the resources to check this kind of thing. I'll give a pass to no one seeing his face. KISS did it for years. You just avoid public settings and cameras. Way easier to be unknown in the 1970s. There weren't always cameras around and if you're not a public figure (which Charlie clearly wasn't), no one will take his picture. I remember around 20 years ago, I was in the military and married, doing security. I was saying how silly it is that they are "undercover", despite all coming to the same place at the same time, using their real names, and clearly knowing one another. My wife handed me a terrycloth towel and told me I wasn't supposed to think like someone in security, I should think like a guy watching the show for the pretty girls. It is real easy to see why Kate Jackson and Farrah Fawcett were unimpressed and wanted out.
Thank you
@@ShaniTrahan-p8i Yes,she played Fallon on Dynasty and if you type in Nancy Drew you'll get episodes where she played a detective for her lawyer father She played Nancy Drew ( 70s series)
@@debbiegum2226 I never knew there were Tv shows made, based on these books My late father read The Hardy Boys I read Nancy Drew as a teen but the books drove me mad because they painted Nancy as too perfect😳 I then moved on to Agatha Christie I discovered the series here on You Tube per chance and I love it I wish the series was longer- running and that Pamela hadn't left
With dick sergeant in this got me thinking imagine if they did a crossover with the Bewitched show, Love boat and a Charlie Angels all three that would have been a wild episode..
Shelley 's first few episodes was a little awkward, but she got much better..she had fantastic chemistry with everyone.. especially with Jaclyn. She brought a lot of Elegance and Sophistication to the show..the thing is by the time she came on in the fourth season the series was beginning to show it's age and they made her the scapegoat basically, which is a shame and was very unfair to Shelley hack..the first and fourth seasons are my favorite.❤
The show survived Farrah's departure, but when Kate left the angels lost their leader and the others (particularly Cheryl) couldn't take on the role as convincingly as she did.
@@gallery7596 She was very bad.Evidently rather unlikable to boot. The other three regulars demanded her ouster from the show.Of the six women in the show, she was easily the sixth prettiest.
Owned by CBS Media Ventures / Paramount Global Content Distribution (The Love Boat series) and Sony Pictures Television (Charlie's Angels). Coincidentally, both Sony and Paramount Global / CBS also co-produced several game shows including Jeopardy! & Wheel of Fortune. Additionally, it is one of the few crossover episodes of Charlie's Angels, marked as the 2nd and final Charlie's Angels crossover after Vegas titled Angels in Vegas (1976).
This was a cute episode, but I always felt like Shelley Hack was a miscast for the show. To me the 4th season is the reason why the show didn't last longer. Once they lost Kate Jackson they lost their leader and identity of the show, although I always respected the fact that Jaclyn Smith was a loyal warrior and stayed all five seasons of the show. I feel like Tanya Roberts could've saved the show better in the 4th season because when they bought her in the 5th season it was already too late as the show was already on its last legs. Tanya should've came in that 4th season as she was bring the show another element as that tough street detective. The show still had a legendary run with the five seasons.
@@pauldesigncomics2625 And for years he hosted "Tattletales." Now here's Convy playing it straight as an international thief. Be interesting to know who thought he was the best choice for that role.
@@flenif2247Nancy Fox had an affair with producer/director, William Asher, who at the time was married to Elizabeth Montgomery. Nancy was discovered in a commercial by Elizabeth Montgomery. Elizabeth had suggested to her husband, William Asher that he should cast her in a TV show called The New Temperatures Rising. Asher did and he ended up having an affair with Fox.
Agree. She seems like a maternal, school teacher type, that just didn't quite add the right maternal edge to the trio- quadro. Just a bit too serious, and came off flatter than the other girls. Not that they all had to be "charm models" ,but each needed an intriguing complementary dynamic. Sabrina/Kate and Kelly/Jaclyn - even Jill/Farrah somewhat, had a very 70's model look about them - kinda passive net throwing, while Kris/Cheryl was 70's/80's cheerleader looking and blaten. However Sabrina was tomboyish, Kelly was mild assertive,Jill was floaty ,and Kris was chipper. John was quirky.
Shelley Hack was a square peg on Charlie's Angels.By far the least attractive and poorest actress.David Doyle,Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd couldn't stand her and got her fired after one season.
