The best part about this show is that they can do literally nothing in an episode or they can do everything and it still makes sense because of some little callback they made 8 years ago 😂
Whats funny is that, if you listen to the podcast they talk about the forgotten sisters and that none of them understand money like inflation, I love it!
And it's funny, because this is not the only time that Charlie has started pulling a bunch of his teeth out. We've seen this in another episode, and at this point, I'm starting to think he teeth just grow back over time.
Kind of, but I do like the room’s episode it was pretty funny. I just feel like they could’ve done something better with this episode, or whenever they reintroduce characters like Donald or the sisters.
It's amazing that they brought back the same actresses to play the sisters from Season 1! First two episodes were pretty good, feels like classic Sunny.
Yea I’m noticing a huge flaw with their shows gimmick where they just don’t even mention characters for a while and just bring them back for one episode. Like the sisters you’d think would play a larger role or maybe there’s some sort of explanation where the hell they have been or in Charlie’s play. I just feel like they forgot about them till they rewatched the show and now put them here to cover their own asses.
@@masterzombie161they literally admit behind the scenes that's exactly what they did. Many shows drop characters and details from season 1 as they maneuver their strengths and weaknesses. Like in Seinfeld all 3 of the ones except Kramer mention at one point they have siblings, none of whom we ever see. The writers made a conscious effort this year to tie up this loose end as a joke. The show wouldn't necessarily have been better if his sisters were bigger part of it.
It's really fitting that that's what Charlie's sisters would be doing for a living but also refreshing and subversive that they're actually well-off financially.
Let me just tell you and thank you for how freaking awesome it is that you put what season and episode the clip came from. You have no idea how refreshing it is to see that.
Is that so a person can adjust to the cringe factor over time, or just the outright garbage the series has become due to lack of any decent ideas or execution?
As a diehard fan who really fell in love with this show when I was in my early teens, I have to disagree completely. Seasons 5-9 were the last actual great seasons of this show. The stuff after Trump got elected was complete dogshit devoid of any real substance. Either Mac, Glenn & Charlie got to Hollywood or they handed off the writing to other people; one of those two things definitely transpired. It does not have the same magic that it had even 5-6 years ago. It needs to come to an end now. All of the main actors look awful besides maybe Charlie. Glenn & Rob have aged horribly, and Kaitlin’s face-work has finally settled leaving her looking decent. She looked bad about 3 seasons ago though. But yeah, back to my main point, the show needs to stop now. They’ve clearly outgrown the show and have all become engrained within Hollywood. Part of the reason the writing was so fantastic was because Rob, Charlie & Glenn wrote most of this show as outcasts in Hollywood.
It's very weird but no, he has two sisters. There are two maybe 13 year old girls in teal shirts in the background when Charlie points to the doll where he got molested.
In the episode where the mcpoyles accuse the gym teacher of diddling them, these same exact actresses are present and introduced as his sisters. You aren't a true always sunny fan of you dont get this call back.
I love these two. I think they'd be a great foil for the gang because they're waaaay more unbearable. Look how flustered everyone is. Even Mrs. Mac is a little uptight when they interrogate her over the toilet clogging. "OMG Shut up sl*t" "you're literally a sl*t!" 😂 Also this f*g stans the homophobic twins lmao.
The best description of it’s always Sunny I’ve ever heard is that it’s a show about nothing, and when I try to explain the show to people who have never seen it, basically what I tell them is, it’s a show about five degenerates that live in Philly and get into a bunch of schemes throughout different episodes, and most of them are really funny. When I was in high school, I watched eastbound and down. It’s always Sunny in Philadelphia and trailer Park boys. That was my shit.
FX just doesn't care anymore because they don't wanna kill their golden goose Most TV networks cancel edgier shows because it hurts advertiser relations
They make the effort to show who's being mocked. Even the blackface episodes that were pulled from Hulu still made a point to say that blackface is racist and it would take a very ignorant person to not get that. Episodes where there are slurs tend to dwell on how ignorant the slur is and not just rely on how edgy it all is.
The core idea of the show was to have a set group of characters that are despicable and their behavior around normal people is where a majority of the humor would come from. "What is happening?..." being the guy's favorite line to work into a scene. Now everyone else is starting to become as elevated as the gang or even more so, which for many long running shows is a sign of fatigue. The Office for example, after Michael leaves, everyone else's personalities and dynamics get super played up. Personally, after hearing the live Christmas episode of the pod, I think Rob and Megan are the reason we are getting episodes with gimmicks and bland humor we'd get from any *insert modern sitcom or mockumentary from 2005 to present here*. I respect them both but I feel like they're trying to stretch out any material they have to keep the show going, even if they have to sacrifice what made the show great from the start, which is what Charlie was saying he was strongly against.
While I'm still enjoying this new season (not including this fucking scene), I've also noticed that the gang just isn't as morally bankrupt as they were in the old days. It's bothering me a lot
i think part of it is despite having an infinitely larger budget than the 1st season, theres almost no new scenes with them out in public. there is no normal ppl for them to interact with, its all just look its charlie's family and theyre crazy, look mcpoyles how wacky, we never leave their sphere. instead of them being in the world, its just 5 guys talking, and the writing isnt good enough to make that funny. its not covid bc this has been an issue before and after the pandemic. they straight up dont have extras anymore, im not counting the beach scene bc nobody even reacted
@@hoodtrampoline84 that's why I think "The Gang Gets New Wheels" is by far the best late-season Sunny episode. They spend the whole time interacting with average people until the perfectly insane Sunny climax. Although I will say, I enjoyed both S16 eps - seem like a great step in the right direction after a few rough seasons
I have been saying it for years where did Charlie’s sister go that’s sister he has two now the last time we saw his sister was when she accused Charlie of touching her vagina in the group hug Charlie gets molested episode
I was kinda hoping he'd have a sister that would end up being the most normal if so, sophisticated character the show would ever feature and just fuck around with that. -Also, why these new cameras? It looks way too clean and underutilized for its use? btw good season, I liked it.
