'Charlie Sees Vampire Bella & Renesmee' Scene | The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 

Twilight is really the story of the suffering of this poor broken man just trying to have a relationship with his daughter but then vampires decide to ruin everything for him. He decorated a whole room for her with purple and everything. Poor Charlie.

As a parent, first thing that would have went through my mind is SHE’S IN A CULT WITH THESE WEIRDOS 😂

The utter exhaustion and pain in that man’s eyes when he asked her if she’s okay BROOOOO Charlie did not deserve to be put through so much shit

The “watched a kid I’ve known his whole life turn into a very large dog” will never not crack me up

Did anybody else notice that small detail when Charlie hugged his daughter and he felt how "cold" she was

3:08 his confused face when hugging her is because she is cold and her skin probably feels different, but he just accepts it because he loves her. It would be like hugging her corpse, but she is “alive”

I feel the misery in Charlie's eyes. It's so emotional thinking about his daughter like that.

I love Charlie!!!! Poor guy suffered and was left in the dark so much in this series

Charlie was the best character in the whole series. I felt so bad for him, he honestly was trying his best to be a good parent

Charlie has to be the most well adjusted person in the world.

Watching this as a teen drooling for Edward VS watching this as an adult drooling for Charlie, how the hell did that happen!?

His daughter died. If only he knew. Really sad and heartbreaking if you think about it.

“Can you live with that?” “Can I live with that….” Charlie out here giving the real performance in this series.

Charlie was always my favorite character in these movies. I know watch him in anything I find out he is in. He is a very good actor. This scene had me in tears because he just wants to hold on to his daughter and he knows that somehow the baby is theirs. He looks at her with so much love. It was funny when Jake turned into a “Really Big Dog”! 😂

Just to think that Charlie is thinking that his barely 19 year old daughter just got married and adopted a baby and with her new appearance similar to the rest of the Cullens, probably thinks shes in a cult

The moment he held her, and you can see the look on Charlie's face, was so heartbreaking. I think he knew what happened then.

I love how even though his curiousity is just dying to know what happened. He trusts his daughter. I think maybe deep down he knows something "supernatural" happened to her but he just doesn't know exactly WHAT it is. But he trusts his daughter. If I were Bella, I'd have just told him. "I'm not telling you for your safety".

The CGI baby I can't.

this part was so sad. Charlie deserved better and Bella was out of her mind.

Charlie knows his own daughter when he sees her and yet instinctively he felt something was off!

I love the "need to know, I guess" line as he fully knows it's her true daughter and not adopted and its falling into place that something is defo up but its better he doesn't know the truth/full extent

I think Charlie's reaction to hugging Bella told him everything he needed to know. The way he moved slightly away from her then back to her. Like he KNEW vampires existed.

poor charlie. this whole franchise did him so dirty. all he did was love his daughter and do his absolute best. you don’t see renee here talking with her, it’s charlie. he always loved her even when he wasn’t allowed to see her. he’s such a fantastic dad in every way. he accepted jacob being a wolf and renesmee (stupid name still) as his granddaughter with little to no question. charlie was done so wrong in this and he deserved better. he was such a loving and caring dad. he always knew renesmee was his grand baby but didn’t challenge them on it. damn it charlie deserved better than fishing trip, i love him 🥺

Acceptance and love is in every reaction that her father gives. Coming from that much love she could be a wonderful Mom.

Charlie's reaction after noticing that Bella and Resnesmee have the same eyes bittersweet, realizing in that moment he has a biological granddaughter, but has no idea how that could be since Bella's pregnancy was much, much shorter than an average woman's. I stopped being a fan of Twilight years ago, but the way this scene is portrayed is very sweet

I like how in the book, when Charlie accepts it, he sits down & watches the game. He spends the whole day with the Cullens. & I think Seth & his sis comes too.

Poor Charlie seeing that she's okay but knowing somehow he's lost the daughter He knew

Whatever else I have to say about twilight the relationship between bella and charlie was absolutely beautiful

So he definitely felt that she is cold to the touch. It looks like he reacted to it when he hugged her. Also, not only did his daughter get married right out of high school, but now she and her husband 'supposedly' adopted a baby, all this as supposed teens. And he is going to eventually realize his daughter isn't aging. The older I've gotten, the more I realize how terrible the plot was. I feel really bad for him.

Every fortunate father has an opportunity to see his offspring thrive and this story helps to see that journey's difficult emotional trauma. Not easy but worth every moment.

I'm so glad the world is charlie stans. He's the real star

Renesmee almost seems like she's going to turn into "Chucky" and start atacking people with a big knife 😂😂😂

the dud that played the dad literally has the best acting in the entire show

Charlie needs to live longer, he has skills and could help protect his granddaughter and help bridge the wolf clan / vampire family structure. The two grandfather's would also make a wonderful family unit, I miss these stories.

I love how Charlie calls Jacob a giant dog 😂

This scene makes Me cry because he really does love his Daughter even if he wasn't the greatest Dad he tries and I can't imagine him knowing that she actually died he technically lost her. She is dead basically he would be so devastated and she knows it because he's almost lost her so many times and for him to know she died while on the honeymoon and thry all didn't tell him would devastate him even more. I just cried.

Everytime i see charlie , i hate edward suddenly, love of a father to his daughter can never been replaced with your husband even if u love him to the core like how bella do anything for edward ..

I like to think when Charlie and Sue got together she filled him in. Sue wasn’t bound like the Vamps on telling about the Cold ones especially since Jacob phased in front of him. That’s why Charlie accepted the way things were at Christmas.

I have to say Kristen Stewart did a good job acting as a vampire. Her acting in the previous four was not great but much better in this one.

It's a wonder that dad don't go crazy. That is a lot of changes to accept.

They should have made it so Charlie was let in on everything and got time with his grand 😭 I would have been crying for sure 💙!

It's amazing that this story is being told with green screens, pulley systems, dolls, and all the extra thing's it takes to make this work. Thank you all for this opportunity to see and hear this fantastic story. Living in the real world is a gift and breaking all the rules to allow us to think about family and relationships is priceless.

I think they used the CGI coz if they find a normal baby to act in this there won't be any acting at all. The baby was supposed to look like she 'knew' her surroundings, like when she saw Charlie there was some reaction there. The human-vampire baby also grow faster than an average one, so Renesmee should not be like a normal baby...? It looked creepy and weird but there's a purpose.

He felt her cold body but he didn’t care! He held her tighter…. He will love Bella no matter what. The real love of a parent has no bounds

If I may nitpick, the fact that Charlie was never able to figure out that there were supernatural beings roaming about his town and that Bella (his daughter) was in cohoots with them - it was some disbelief that I had trouble suspending every now and then.

Notice how Charlie didn't touch Renesmee... If he did, she probably could have shown him things, which would have complicated the situation even more.

@3:06 after reading the book and her describing the burning torture she endured while being in the same vicinity as Charlie, I can’t imagine what Bella was going through during that embrace.

Bella as vampire daughter she can remember some memories with her dad and many memories were forgot we can a see a little bit emotion in her face i feel very sad for charlie its makes me very cry and bella father is a braveman at all❤❤

Watched this as a teen now im a mother myself and boooyy do these scenes hit differently, i feel for charlie so much more now that i did then.

Charlie is the main victim here, and Bella being a total brat and just doing things she wants if I ever behaved like her, you might as well call the funeral place my mother would have set me straight. She’s done nothing but put Charlie in anguish with her mood sings and being desperate to be a vampire

I thought the writing in the books was poor but the story was good so I kept reading. I had no complaints about the movies they made from the books. They left out some little details that I thought were cool story bits but were not essential to the actual story.

I feel in my heart of hearts that when the special effects guys were told to make the baby they decided to make it as bad as possible to laugh at all of us fans....In any case, it is what it is. And I feel that in a few years when Twilight is a classic, they will correct it.

Okay fuck this scene so hard. Charlie was the most sympathetic and most wronged character in this whole series. Dude is in the dark this whole franchise about the supernatural shit going on. He doesn't see his daughter for like 2-5 months, she gets pregnant with a demon baby, dies, and gets brought back as a fucking vampire, then when he sees her again she tells him "something's different, I just can't tell you. Also this is probably the last time we're gonna see each other." And he just takes it all. And then to top off this depressing cake, when he hugs her, he mentions that she feels cold. (Vampires are cold.) And like, I just fucking teared up because this dad just trying to do his best for his asshole, dumbass daughter, and her fucking gang of freaks show up and they ruin they're lives. Not to mention the actor playing the dad is really great in this scene, his performance was really believable so that's probably also why I got so emotional. But there is one thing wrong with this scene... the fucking CGI baby coming around the corner and sucking all the emotion out of the moment.

I would live for the day that Charlie finds out his new in-laws are vampires and that all the weird happenings around Forks were linked to them in some way. A few years later find Charlie giving every cop a very quick firestarter kit because you never know

1:53 damn, Charlie was almost a goner if he didn't move. Bella was this close to sucling the life out of him, you could see how close she was getting. Inch by inch

I know some may not remember this from the book, but when Charlie asks how long Renesmee had to live, I think Jacob or Carlisle said she had 4 months.Then Renesmee waved at him.

This cop legit didn't suspect a thing after Bella, "fell through a window" in the first movie, and then just accepts her whole "Need to know" excuse waaaaay too easily
